That sucks, but it is kind of funny at the same time.
Our stock pressure plate plus 6 puck combo could have been a brand the whole time!!!
Unfortunately this combo does not stand up to any kind of abuse.
Not to worry, they will be oily.
Remember, the crankcase vents straight into the turbo intake.
If nothing else, get a new set of crush washers for the oil feed, but that is it. They are ready to use.
We have 5 Competition clutch kits (4 stage 4s, and 1 ironman) in use right now. However, there is no feedback yet.
Competition stage 4 is equivalent to spec stage 3 but with a slightly stronger pressure plate.
From a driver standpoint, the Competition "feels" better. It lets you slip...
You are using the Soarer 1JZ, but a supra harness right?
The supra harness has an FP output, but the soarer harness does not. It has an FC output that goes to a fuel computer, which you don't have.
Check your large dash plug, look for a yellow wire. See if it has voltage with the key on...
Supracentral is right, we have to scale back your whole setup.
Also you have a Walbro, another variable.
The Lex 550 combo can be used as is. But when you add FPR, Walbro, SAFC, all kinds of things start happening.
Does your wideband have data logging?
I would forget the NEO for now...
This setup has been daily driven every day for over a year. 17 psi every day (mkiv 550s). Could use some tuning in the midrange as you can see.
But unless you are ready to get serious with other mods, fuel, control, etc, stock twins are your best bet.
If they go out in a year, big deal...
check for codes
also, by the alternator, is the 2 wire cam position sensor. See if it is wet, dirty, wiring frayed, or anything else that looks out of the ordinary.
Does the car run fine? Just curious. I've had that code as well, but only when the car was not running properly.
You might want to check out the online JZA80 TSRM for detailed test procedures.
Sounds like you aren't grounded very well, as far as the engine light dimming with the turn...
Welcome to the "more filter, less pipe" club.
The dump tube just has to come straight down off the wastegate. The cheater way to do it, is cut the bend at a bit of an angle.
You won't need the jumper harness. It just extends the wiring.
You just have to extend the original harness, depending on where you want the hydro ecu to sit.
drag radials will be great for your times
If you are on the stock IC, upgrade ASAP.
If your air filter is OPEN in the engine bay, get some kind of heat shield or move to a cold air intake. These 1/8th mile runs leave you hot soaking in line quite a bit.
Post your time slips. You...
I have 2 prototypes done:
Here I have placed the hole for the power steering vac hose, so that the oem fitting can be used.
I just have to pick up some T bolt clamps, and they will be ready for sale. The pipe, couplers, T bolt clamps, complete is $99.
The full kit with HKS...
