Looks like a rollover or something.
I wonder if they even survived the crash in such a strange vehicle creation.
Does not look very safe.
Sort of like rat rods.
That thing had to be hideous even before it was crashed.
Shame, the amount of work that had to go into such a creation.
Someone loved it right?
7MGE powered
Carried over the VIN and some of the suspension components/drivetrain.
Wonder if there is a build thread somewhere on the net.
Just set your meter or get a meter that has a frequency setting.
Measure the KS pin on the AFM to read it while running.

Start methodically unplugging every sensor while the engine is running.
AFM
TPS
Idle Air Controller
Coolant Temp
ect...
Test one, plug it back in, go to the next.
May give you a clue which sensor is culprit.
Is this one of those old K&N filters you were talking about?

Oh interesting.
I like that method much better than today's open cone filters.
I was going to modify the stock airbox to accomplish basically that same setup you are describing.
Makes no sense pulling air from the engine bay, the stock airbox had an intake below the headlight.
Much better for...
Yeah lots of people in the arid states that have no clue how to deal with rust.
They don't realize how easy they have it.
Come work as a mechanic in the rust belt for a few days, lol.
Experience seized bolts, on 4 year old vehicles.
Wow, that is one detailed post you have there.
Maybe describe the problems in some detail so an informed response can be made.
So those of us that have experience as a tech and knowledge of this vehicle's systems can respond.
If anything I have been the complete opposite.
When I was younger in college I was not as active here or at least was broke and couldn't do much beyond drive the vehicle.
Now that I have some more $ and time to invest into this vehicle I am doing it right.
My co-workers do not believe how much...
Sounds good.
Yeah from what I have been reading the hard cuts start happening right around these levels.
Then people start tricking the ECU to get past it and that sounds like a bad method to achieve the goal.
I have played around with some Subie ECU remapping in the past, those guys have it...
Shooting for ~350 hp initially.
Nothing too crazy.
My goals are reliability as I plan to drive it daily once everything is completed. (weather permitting of course)
The focus will be drive ability - usable power, not a huge useless peak of HP @ 6000RPM.
Currently the injectors are 550 RC's...
Re: Difference in afm?????
The user commenting on it running richer or leaner probably had another issue.
Or one of the AFM's he had did not work right.
