Hah, yeah I had a similar issue here.
My ABS master cylinder started leaking, luckily I was able to get a Centric one.
f00g00 - You can still get a overhaul kit for the booster from Toyota I believe.

Yeah we are aware of ACDelco brand, its been around since 74'.
The question is who actually bought one of their rebuilds?
I am curious who actually performs them for ACDelco.
As well as the Toyota rebuilds that are 350$ + 150$ core still available from the dealer.
These CPS are very old. Just because it "looks ok" or has close resistance readings does not mean it is fully functional.
You actually have to take a scope to it and view the signal to see if its ok.
1st thing to try is to re-gap the coil pickups as close to the wheel as you can.
Might be able...
Have you actually verified the spark plugs are firing?
Fuel / Spark / Compression
You are missing one.
Did they pull a log on the CPS when the AEM was still installed?
Was it a clean signal?
Dang, I knew about detroit axle.
Never knew they did steering rack rebuilds though, even the price is decent.
Where were you a month ago!
Ah well, this one works now, and I have a great story to take to Jalopnik on a terrible parts re-builder.
Next steps:
Swap over my good parts to make the rebuilt rack not totally pathetic.
- Replace their inner tie rods with my new Centric ones.
- Replace their cheap boots with my new Rabestos ones.
- INSTALL claw washers to the rack. <- Seriously this is just awful.
- Swap my good unbent lines to...
Here is the thread on the A1Cardone Unit:

This post will summarize my experience with an A1Cardone "Rebuilt" Steering rack.
Purchased through RockAuto.
First off I had in initially bought a rebuild kit for the rack that is currently in my vehicle and rebuilt and re-installed it.
Everything appeared to be fine until I discovered a...
It seems like I received the worst possible rebuilt one I have ever seen.
I took lots of photos and documented all the issues.
Will create a thread on it.
Rockauto or A1Cardone will have to remedy the situation after I send my findings to them in full.
This is downright pitiful.
I wouldn't be...
I will post up photos of it as well as my findings probably in a couple days.
Its not good...
Just installed it into the vehicle and I find another issue with it.
Going to have to pull it again and swap parts from my existing rack again to make it work.
I hope I have enough spare parts lying...
Our early Supra's do have different inner tie rod ends.
This is due to one of them having a different design to accommodate the bracket for the steering dampener.
Attached an image I took of when I was rebuilding my steering rack.
Left tie rod in the photo is the passenger side.
Right tie rod...
Pretty simple to make a new one and correct the speedo too!
Lots of very simple 3D CAD programs out there now.
Too bad have to pull the dash to install it, otherwise would be a snap.
