Did you have to tap the existing hole in the pan to accommodate the -12an fitting or did you weld in a bung? Looks tapped to me. Problem is, I don't want to drop my pan if I don't have to so I was wondering if I could tap it while it was still installed. If memory serves correct, the factory...

Where in the pan did you run the drain line? Did you use the factory oil cooler return location? I was always afraid that would be below the oil line, but not sure how much oil would have to be in the system to go up that high. I've had my turbo rebuilt (no oil present on turbine when pulled)...
Finally got around to replacing my speedometer with a unit that had a working trip meter and replace the voltmeter's needle with a non-faded one.
All done. Not bad. Damn near the original miles too.

....radiator cap stuck shut, a clog somewhere in the cooling system, etc. Unfortunately, bhg is the most common culprit in 7M's. The smoke you see when you removed the oil cap could just be condensation steaming off tho.
Cool. Thanx. I just added like 4 washers as spacers and reinstalled the 2 long bolts. Looks kinda ugly, but not noticeable unless you really look down in the bay.
I see the bolts go all the way through the rear lower timing cover. If the AC belt tensioner is no longer needed, do the bolts still need to be there? Do they do anything other than hold the tensioner on the lower timing my cover?
Blew the oil pump shaft seal and figured it was a good enough excuse as any to install a nice blue kevlar Gates Racing Timing belt while I was in there. Thing looks sweet!
Dude, the TSRM link is right there in the OP's first post. Here it is again:

Honestly tho, this is an extremely easy procedure.
Herecy you speak!
Seriously though, if I hadn't already redone my interior I would totally purchase all of those leather covers and attempt a full interior conversion. I hope someone jumps on these while they're still available and puts a serious effort into the install, as I'm sure there...
One popped up in the SM "FOR SALE" section. In my 10+ years on here and SF, it's the first and last one I've ever seen offered. I jumped on it with the quickness. :)
There are several vendors online that show that they offer them. Not sure if they actually have them in stock or not, but I wouldn't hold my breath. It took me forever to find mine. Fits like a glove and looks awesome.
That looks almost identical to my Trust Power Extreme II exhaust system.
If it sounds the same, then you are golden. I haven't heard a better exhaust yet, except maybe a Burnsstainless.
Interesting. I've never seen one of them before. Me thinks this belongs in the "rare parts" thread. I've been waiting for it to be bumped for some time with an actual item rather than a comment. Thanks for sharing hatter.
