The AutoMagic just looks better on the vinyl. Maybe because it's a "dye". I don't know, looked like paint to me when applying it. Either way. My vinyl parts look like they came black and not like they were painted. Sem is top notch stuff tho. I hear good things about their vinyl/plastic...
I don't understand how that would get oil on a plug, let alone all plugs. I must not be thinking of the same thing. Can you further explain this leak and the repair?
I really don't believe it to be the valve cover gaskets. I have not only replaced them and added rtv at the front corners, but have installed new isolator washers as well. I originally had the pcv system setup correctly with a check valve installed between the intake manifold (ffim) and valve...
I have a 7mgte that I'm nearly certain needs new valve stem seals since the spark plugs get oil soaked fairly quickly. Compression and leakdown #'s are good and I removed my catchcan since it was only collecting water (car sits for months at a time). Exhaust has blue smoke when engine is under...
I don't see why that spring assembly wouldn't be complete as it seems unserviceable due to its location. I used a very heavy aerosol synthetic lubricant as well a thin wd40 type lubricant. I haven't been able to get either on that spring assembly, but then again, these lubricants only come with...
So I finally got around to pulling the steering column surround and spraying lubricant on all exposed movable parts. It has not improved at all. It's a high chirping squeaking noise heard whenever the wheel is shook or when adjusting up and down. Sounds like a spring. I can see a thin rod that...
I finally got around to grinding the front passenger hub ring adapter flush with the rotor hat. Definitely recommend doing this prior to installation as it is very tedious and time consuming with the rotor still on.

It's hard to tell from the pics, but the ring...
A failing brake booster?
An interesting proposition, but usually the pedal gets stiffer with a failing booster, not softer.
I haven't condemned the master yet. Not looking forward to introducing more air into the system by replacing the master, as it has been an ordeal to get the pedal to it's...
Yay! I have brakes.
3 issues found.
Issue #1: The aluminum hub rings from Amazon are junk and not machined evenly. The passenger side protruded from the rotor hat maybe 1mm but was tight on the rotor; keeping it from pivoting back and forth on the wheel studs (due to the larger stud hole bore...
