I have the original Nightpager kit on my car using 350z track rotors and 300zx calipers with Hawk pads, and I have to say it is the BEST MOD I have done to the car. I have not been able to make these fade at all with multiple 200+ kmh to zero stops. For hard street driving and autocross use...
I changed my upper bushings to poly a while back, its pretty straight forward, I just burned the old bushing out with a torch, then pressed in the new ones. The hard part with the rear is that you have to pull out the axle shafts to get to the ball joint nut.
More pnp options would be great!!!, What kind of price point are you thinking?. Not too many mk3 guys will shell out $2000+ though, but I am sure you know that already.
I have seen and installed many Glass parts, most of those replicas are crap and need a ton of work to install. Sure you might save $100-200 on the part but it will need hours of body work and reinforcing to make it fit and look half decent, if you are having it done at a body shop it really...
I run the ACT HD PP with the HPF bronze 6 puck disck, i love it!!!. It has held great for my 500hp/ 470 tq. I wouldnt waste my time with any stock disc/ PP with 300+ hp.
You need to use the style of mounts that came in the car originally in the car, as the mounting pads on the crossmemmber are different between the early and late mk3's, they are not interchangable. 95% of the 89+ round mounts that i have seen tear or break when th engine is pulled. The...
Stock, soft springs/ struts work well from what i have seen. I got my best 60' tmes with stock suspension. Currently my jdm TurboR Bilstiens/ TTR springs are a bit on the stiff side, so i get some hop even with custom arms and poly bushings (275 street tires, 1jz, 400+ hp). I too will try ET...
Its not my truck....... its a joint project truck with another local shop. I just built the mounts and will be doing all the piping work on it. It will be sporting BIC decals. It will be street/ strip, expect to see it at Mission raceway this summer.
Just thought i would show some details and pics of the latest BIC project........1990, 2wd Toyota truck. It will have a swapped in rear sump oilpan 1jz with custom BIC motor mount brackets and trans mount, single IHI C7 turbo, Microtech standalone, 550cc injectors, Precision IC, 3.5" custom BIC...
Just wondering how many of you would be seriously interested in 89+ semi solid Poly motor mounts ?, as i hope to start on them soon if there is demand for them. As we now have full solids available and we got quite a few requests for semi solid/ poly mounts. Also we are working on poly trans...
Yes they are now available!!! check the BIC section for pics, info and pricing, found here: http://www.supramania.com/forums/showthread.php?p=892662#post892662
Yes the pre 89 bolt in ones will be priced very well, as they are just a bolt on part. The 89+ cars have no brackets on the car or motor, so we have also made some bolt on brackets to go along with the strut that will make them a bolt on.
