What are the symptoms of either an over filled or under filled auto tranny. This is an NA. I know that the fluid will look foamy if it is over filled, but will it quit shifting between gears if it is over or under filled???
I have a K&N intake that was put on about a year ago. No noise until recently. The whistling sounds like it is from the air intake chamber. Don't think it is vacuum because it does not go away if I rev up the engine in park. Does not sound like it is coming from the belts either. Happens...
It is not a tapping noise, it is more of a squeal or whistle. It only happens when I am not accelerating. It happens when idling or decelerating. It doesn't seem to be a vacuum leak, it happens if I have the car in park and run the rpms up...
Do the injectors make noise that can be heard inside the cabin while idling? If they do, what does it sound like? And would it come from the air intake chamber? Thanks.
Last summer I replaced most of the vacuum lines with silicon. I zip tied all the lines on. I also replaced most of the stock tie pressure connectors with screw on type. The vacuum line to the intake from the brakes is a good place to start, don't know if the connectors were replaced there or not.
The sound stays for about 3-4 seconds after the hood is open. I opened the hood quickly to see if I could hear the sound, it was there long enough for me to know that it is up near the brake reservoir. I also thought of the seals making the noise. It is really strange.
Its not from the belts. When I stand by the drivers side fender, it is coming from up by the windshield. It goes away when I put the hood up...but if the hood is down and I put it in park, the noise is still there when I rev it up, when in drive it goes away when I rev it up.
The whistle is pretty loud...I can't isolate it because it goes away when the hood opens. I have about 3 seconds before the sound stops. I havn't replaced anything and the hoses seem to be ok....I am really curious about the reason it would do it when the hood is down and not when it is up....
I have a strange problem. I have been chasing it for a while. When my engine is edling, or when I am driving and decelerate and the rpm's go to below 1500, I have a whistle or squeal from the engine bay. It sounds like it is from around the power brake fluid reservoir. The funny part is...
I clicked the lock out switch several times and got the window to go down with the passenger switch, the drivers still did not work. I tried to put it back up with the passenger or drivers, and nothing, the passenger will still put it down though. Seems like a switch thing, but, I have three...
I am having a terrible time with the passenger window also...I have tried 3 "cleaned" passenger switches, 3 "cleaned" drivers switches, all with the same result, the window goes down but not up. To get it up, I have to use a battery on two of the terminals. There is no noise what so ever from...
I know this thread is a bit old, but I have seen a lot of threads related to this....check your coil pack for the right resistance once it dies. If it does not register, it is bad...I had this problem. Took it to a dealer and he wanted $800 for an igniter, and that wasn;t even the problem...
After engine removal and replacement, I was using "49 steps..." and it said to just let the drive shaft slip out and reinsert it later, well, I am to that point now and canont get the shaft back into the tranny....it is as if they are turned differently. What is the trick to putting the shaft...
With all the trouble I have had with the security system, I started trying all kinds of stuff. I started pulling circuit breakers. When I pulled the one that said ECS (named CDS in the Chilton and Haynes book) all of a sudden the inside lights came on and I could start the car. What is ECS or...
