So more updates:
Ran at the drag strip and was underwhelmed by the car's performance. Checked the data logs and found the intake air temps were around 190*f, just a little warm. So I ordered a nice new ETS intercooler. Unfortunately, the IC was about 3" bigger than advertised so slight frame...
Nope. Go into ecu setup and choose "Set ignition timing/sync"
Select 'lock timing' and choose an advance setting that you like (0*/10* normal) then press enter.
Connect your timing light and use the AEM advance/retard buttons to change the timing.
Note: It is recommended to NOT adjust the CPS...

Now back to your regularly scheduled rakkasan Thread...
Thanks, it's been a process of a summer.
For the 5M pulley, you need to add a 1/10" spacer between the shaft and it for it to line up 100%, but it might work enough as-is (didn't want to take a chance of throwing a belt, tho)
More racing done!
Didn't do as well as I had hoped, but then again I only got 3 runs at high power. Still a ton of fun!
11.366 @ 130 was the best ET, but I was cutting mid 1.6 60' during the weekend :D
The car has been raced, but I didn't get kicked from the track. We got rained out Sunday so I wasn't able to improve on anything.
Ran an 11.3 @ 130mph with a 1.8 60'
In part, I'm disappointed; because I wasn't able to get a good launch with good shifting. When I launched well, I shifted poorly...
Nothing aside from that has been uploaded- I'll get a couple pics of the latches this weekend.
I did the same thing with my struts, but found a local guy who traded with me (plus cash for my brand new ones).
Blown stock struts, properly bolted to the body and hood- then you do this:
I'm using trailer hitch pin clips and have ditched the stock hood latch in favor of Aerocatch hood pins. Tthe old striker makes a great storage point for the clips, too!
Aerocatch pins look great and work as well as...
Pulled Emilio's transmission out of my car and found this while working on it...guess I'mma need some more repair work! Funny thing, it still made 30pounds of boost XD
Oh, it may have started as slap, but it's gone far beyond that into full on scuffing if the piston skirt and likely bore damage (or at least it appears that way from the pictures).
I'd guess that the engine/piston got hot and the oil wasn't able to keep it lubricated properly, and it started...
Hmmm, not at all what I was expecting to see inside! Overbore would be needed to save that block- but could be a lil pricey. If cheap 7M is the route, used engine will be needed. Hmm...
Car runs well, no issues up on boost :D
Found out why I'm dropping volts at higher rpm's, alternator brushes were pretty worn.
For reference, they should reach about 2/3 of the holder diameter across D: It'll take some time for them to break in, but shouldn't take too long.
Thanks to Rabid Chimp Performance, I have a new 5M oil pump pulley in my hands! I'mma pull the timing belt off tonight and compare the pulleys to ensure they're the same, but pending I'm able to pick up my new timing belt the car will be driveable tomorrow! (I'll get pictures comparing the two...
