    Boss Jr Turbo specs

It's likely that the turbo you hold in your hand is no longer an off-the-shelf turbo anymore. (it probably was back when it was made originally) The Jr series stopped being made a couple years ago, and turbo tech has come a ways since then. That said, if you know the exhaust wheel specs (stage...

    Steve's mildly out-of-control build

Not like anything has happened since it got parked last fall, but I did start working on the shifter a bit- it's going back to stock as I await the transmission adapter- still a ways off from being testable, but 2 crankshafts will be in my hands in 2 weeks as a friend is going to be in town and...

Barb fitting size from FPR to return line rubber hose question

I think the oem fpr return hose was 5/16, but it's been gone for a long time on my car.

Barb fitting size from FPR to return line rubber hose question

    Quick reference 5/16" ~ 8mm 3/8" ~ 10mm 1/2" ~ 13mm 5/8" ~ 16mm 3/4" ~ 19mm 7/8" ~ 22mm 15/16" ~ 24mm 1" ~ 25mm Generally, you need special fittings/hose ends for Teflon hose, as it's designed to not stretch like rubber hose. Be aware!

    Steve's mildly out-of-control build

Yep, a garbage crank is what I'm after, 'cause it'll be chopped in half for the mock-up block.

    Steve's mildly out-of-control build

Nothing much to report since haven't been able to get my hands on a 7M crank. I'll probably shoot greg a message to see if he even needs it!

Unusual CT26 came on parts car

Not sure, but it's possibly a Celica/MR2 CT26? Not familiar with the smaller one, though.

Where to find oil pump driveshaft bearings...

Dealer is a guaranteed source. Otherwise Suprasport, Driftmotion are good options.

For ~450whp what type of exhaust housing would you guys recommend?

IMO, a .63 would be the best if your power ceiling is 450. I'm pushing 788 through a .81 w/cams so there's lots of room for you to upgrade if you want. You also get the added benefit of earlier spool with the smaller housing! :) That said, early spool can be a detriment, I'll need to be...

    Piston decisions for a 7mgte

I have good feedback for my JE pistons. They have held up well to all my use and abuse, mildly questionable tuning, and racing. Had then coated last rebuild and made a bunch of power on 'em without an issue. I have a bud local to me who melted Probe pistons where the valve reliefs were- seemed...

What did you do to your supra today? Pics

I'm grabbing some video I took of my last outing with one of my best launches, a disappointing 11.7 with a pretty good 1.662 60'. No great shakes for hardcore drag guys, but I was satisfied with it since I kept on improving every run. Problem I had was the engine was losing power through the...

    Full face clutch suggestions please

Personally I never had an issue with the 3+, until I tried to no-lift shift at ~550hp in which case it would slip at ~1/2 clutch life. I have heard horror stories about clutch straps breaking and killing bellhousings, but have yet to see it in person. No idea what influences that kind of...

What did you do to your supra today? Pics

It's an odd feeling to launch while slipping the clutch, but it gives great times when you get used to it.

    Full face clutch suggestions please

If you're going to be drag racing more, a steel flywheel is a better option than an AL unit- they stand up to the heat of the launch better and hold more inertial energy for the launch. 'Feramic' clutch material often welds itself to AL flywheel inserts (you can't disengage the clutch when that...

    Why? Because racecar!

Upper is an EVO/4G manifold. Lower is for an SR20, iirc

Whos has a Carbon Fibre Hood on their MKIII and are you using hood pins?

Similar to Rodel, albeit a less snazzy hood :P Pin mounts are bolted underneath the rad support My solution to keeping the hood open:

    Show me your intercooler brackets

First iteration, I had to make a custom hood latch support for it to work right, but that was no more difficult than making the brackets themselves. Lower mounts: Re-done uppers to look better, even though the hood latch is gone, it fits the same. Newer IC is similar. Works pretty well!

Tanabe Medallion Owners, some advice please

Hyper medallion has been discontinued for some time, now. The Touring is its replacement. They are essentially the same (slight changes, but nothing over-the-top) As for catalytic converters, I have no idea, sorry!
