    A 7m Tach in 1jz powered car is approximately 200 rpms off....not that big of a deal

    I don't see any reason why it should not work. I have a 1jz that is rocking the 9k tack - direct fit. Stock 7mgte tach works with 1jz - direct fit. so this should work with a 7mgte car as well.

    You are right...I just gave a generic answer to a generic question :) BTW: A sump from a Lexus sc300 2jz will work - just need to drill the holes out for the oil retun...its already stamped.
