Hi guys/gals,
Does anyone have any information on this setup?
1.5 JZ utilizing stock twins.
I'm just curious as to how it perfomed/performs.
How the oil feed was ran?
What size oil feed is used?
I know its the logical thing to swap out for a single setup, but it would be...
Its definitely a good idea to do so. Looking at the stock bolts after a couple of swaps, I noticed that the threads were too gunked up to actually provide any kind of hold. I think most were from the sealer they used on the bolts to prevent any oil seep.
fresh threads are always better .
lol, we were not worried about the hp #'s onthis car, we were more concerned if it was going to hold up on the dyno lol. The 100 hp was a bonus with a slip[ping clutch lol.
Are you looking for the floor mats or the carpet?
I have a 88 Blue car with blue interior with the carpets. The mat is in there but not sure if it is stock but looks close enough.
Let me know and I can cut a sample of the hatch mat at least for the match. Car is going to the junkyard...
lol:biglaugh:
Okay :
Any 2JZgte pans will be the same / mid rear sump.
Any 1JZ gte ( jza70) will be rear sump.
Any sc300 2jzge pan will be rear sump as well (I have used this on a 2jzgte and its a direct fit. You will need to drill holes for oil return on a turbo)
Any Aristo 2JZgte...
haha, I see you used my picture in the first one. Good comparison to show the difference. The front sump is too obvious.
Difference between a rear sump and mid sump is about 1/4 an inch which is more than enough to clear the subframe. I've used the mid sump one before.
yup, to me me it's not worth much as it does not match my year.
I was going to give it away as a set to someone so jst wanted to check to see if it held any value.
Thnaks for the replies .
Guys/gals,
I have a 1989 Owner's manual and Owners guide (two separate books)
Can Anyone tell me if they are valuable items to have(collectors/novelty) ??
My car is a 1992 so its sort of a mismatch for me.
Thanks for any input!
Your best friend will be a 3ft extension with a swivel . Preferably a 1/2 inch to apply the torque.
I jst did this a few days ago and it was super quick to drop it by myself. Max about 2 hours unbolting ds/assesing/jacking and securing the car etc.
I used a jack to lower the tranny
