I just wanted to add that I'm spooling up at about 3200 rpm. Eliminating about 4 feet of intercooler piping really helped.

Mine is grounded to the frame around the fuel tank AND to the engine block.

0 guage cable from battery to engine bay with 200 amp ANL fuse and volt meter: 2 guage cable from dual fuse box with 150 amp ANL fuses to starter and alternator:

I loosen the head in 3 passes. I usually torque to 90 ft-lb in 3-4 passes. I'm going to back off of that a bit. This shop usually checks to see if the head is in spec. They didn't say anything about that to me this time. My last head became out of spec and they let me know.

So the valves checked out great. They checked out the valve lash, checks out great. They checked out the head surface, problem. The head surface was out 12 thous. This could have been my problem. I'm surprised since the head surface was done 2000 miles ago. I'm going to do some testing...

Sorry i didn't get this out. I am sick and went to bed very early. I'll get the tune out soon. I used a GM IAT sensor for $20. I posted the part number on SF. I used an aem map sensor. It was expensive and I think you can use a GM instead there too. Wire it yourself, no kit. Dennis

Just spoke with the machine shop. they are going to double check the lash clearance for me. They also noticed that the head surface was not flat and that could be it also.

UPDATE and I still need help. I removed the head, ordered new valves and brought them to the machine shop. I had the shop vacuum test the valves. They said there is NO BENT VALVES and the vacuum test was exceptionally well. Here was my previous compression test: 1-115 2-105 3-137 4-102...
