you can also just put the iac valve back on without the coolant hoses ran to it. A good friend of mines car hasn't had the coolant lines on it for around 5 years now and is running great, no issues what so ever with it. I have mine deleted from my white car that has a ffim, but the black car...
Tape off after paint.
Wow does that look neat.
Ok so here it is. This is everything in the order for rebuild.
First put the orange lens in the tabs where it belongs, and put epoxy down in the little holes where the little clear lens and the big clear lens goes. Then you will put them in...
Next up will be some more cleaning, and reassembly. I need to get something to seal the lens back up, and make it watertight.
Any ideas for that would be nice. Right now I am leaning towards a 3M clear silicone adhesive
Any suggestions, or questions about this would be great.
Right now I am...
Patience is key for this step.
After you get the lights out, This is what you have to do to the housing.
First you may want to get a dremmel with a cutting wheel on it to make a flat head screwdriver slot, or some knives to cut away at these screws. They really don't look like screws, because...
So some of you may have seen this already since I posted it on SF a long while back, but looking back it doesn't appear that it made it onto these forums.
I did this a couple years ago, and everything still looks just as good as it did after I got done with it. No moisture in the lights, or...
lol okay, reading through that old thread I remember where I scrapped the glue out from. Yes, it was time consuming, and a bitch to do, but wasn't really hard at all, and if you don't have anything else going on its a pretty fun project actually.
It was a long while ago, but I am pretty sure it got softened by the hot water, then the rest just came off nice and easy. I remember it wasn't an overly hard project. it was one of those projects that are just fun to do on the side. only took a couple evenings if i remember right.
I made a writeup a long while back. see if it helps you.

did it recently in my ported head on my built 7m for my new auto car since i had to pull it for the head gasket anyways. so far so good. I don't think ill have to worry about it much anyways, but i did it for peace of mind. will also do my other head when it comes time.
What manifold did you end up going with? or did you do the SP bolt on style? The 6262 correct?
Maybe I am just too used to larger turbos now, but I rode in my good friends 6262 .63 a/r 7m car and that thing was insane with spool.
Have you setup injector latency values? both my AEM's I had to set the values even after selecting the right injector, as AEM's values are wrong. On my new car it wouldn't let me get the idle leaned out, on my white car it would stumble all through the rpms
I have always thought reusing head gaskets was a dumb idea. I feel the people that do reuse them get lucky if they seal and for a long time. I rather spend $100+ on a new mhg than have to tear the motor back down after just reassembling it.
I do have a trans temp gauge, but not installed yet. Its got a big cooler on it with a fan etc. The car is set up very well. its very fun to drive, just want it to be quicker off the line.
the invoice said 3200 stall, but it doesn't have any more in it than 2800 rpm. I haven't changed fluid...
I recently bought a built 7mgte supra with a 6776 bolt on ball bearing turbo with a SP built a340 transmission.
What I am trying to figure out is what people are using for higher stall torque converters for the a340 transmissions. Really would like to know if it is possible to get a stock...
It would be on the edge. There was a mk4 a while back on a single 400 e85 pump running 750hp in a 6 speed car.
Since this thread got brought back up, I just ordered my dual walbro 400 pumps for my car along with the rest of the e85 system. cant wait to start
400LPH walbros are badass, probably the best in tank pump on the market. So quite, really good price. I have one in my car now, and the new car is getting two in the tank. There is no reason to go to dual pumps for only 500hp.
I can confirm it is a BHG, no big deal. ill tear it apart this week, hope there isn't coolant in the oil (obviously will check) and if not I will be getting the head planned and putting it back together. Should be out and about next week as long as there is no coolant in the oil and everything...
Well, scoped out the cylinders today. Nothing. Gapped and put a set of copper plugs in it, and she fired right up. Needed to toss a battery in it tho (had a spare from when i switched to a yellow top in my other car). Car drives great, it does need a higher stall in it tho. Anyone have any...
Just bought a built 7m car that is by far the cleanest supra I have seen for 3000. 66,xxx miles on it.
My first supra I bought in the summer of 2011 for 1000 with 83,xxx miles on it. Very clean but had pretty good hail damage (mostly fixed now).
Just have to keep your eyes peeled for the...
