do those burns sound any different than a piece of straight pipe? i was planning on getting one but, i heard they dont do much since they at the end of the system and are straight through.
for those of you out there running 4" exhaust. where did you buy all your tubing? i am having a hard time trying to find 4" exhaust tubing anywhere. all i need is aluminized. stainless is not something i am looking for. i just want a place to atleast compare prices. i was planning on getting...
there it is! i knew i saw one behind the seat.
when you say "dumb mode" are you talking the valve is always open? i understand what your saying about putting oil on the turbo after shutdown and that is a good thing. but if you do this you wont have any pressure for prelubing right? or do you...
its sounds like quite a few ppl are doing upgrades this offseason. next year we should deff have a few smaller gatherings if nothing else. i am always down to sit around and BS. when are you starting your swap? you guys still soupin' up that WRX too?
now with it setup like this, the valve doesnt shut till you turn the key back and the engine stops correct? but doesnt the oil pressure bleed down before it closes? or does it just close fast enough that not much bleeds off.
are any of you running the elec. valve on your system? i was planning on getting one of these for the pre-lubing. i am guessing the 3 quart is the best route to go also.
yeah thats me. within the next month its getting parked for the 2J swap. did you go to the centrailia meet this year? heard it was pretty good. i was out of the country this whole summer so i couldnt go to any this year.
i was just curious to see who is around the area. i have seen a few mkiii driving around. wanting to see if anyone was close. you know, for helping out, parts, knowledge and just to hang out. i live in lakewood. anyone else? -Brian

i'm running a 3" on mine. i couldnt tell how much diff it made by its self. i did that and a DP at the same time which helped alot. my car is turbo though.i would think the back pressure from the cat would help on an N/A though. :dunno:
i am gathering stuff to do my oil system on my swap (2JZ). i figure while i am doing a relocation anyways, i might throw in an oil accumulator. i havent heard anyone on here talk about them, is anyone acutally using one? my dad and i use to race late model dirt cars and we always had them. i...
if you already have an engine torn apart, i would go with the one you got. you already know the condition of it. plus you can use the money to put some extra stuff in it. 400 is not a hard goal at all. there are many guys on here running those numbers. IMHO i would go with the engine you have...
