if your honestly going to track your car that hard, and that often, why even 'piece' together a kit that might have issues. just buy the bolt on kit that has been proven to stop like no other. it'll probably cost you less in the end anyways.
i've honestly never seen a difference.... even at my dads work that does medical stuff, they get all of there stuff from pro stainless, and they look just like the ones i get at the hardware store...
i had that ceramkrome stuff on my last exhaust manifold, and that shit WORKS. too bad was the shinyest thing in the engine bay... didnt care for it too much, but when you get a 150 coating for free, i never mind.
this should serisouly be a sticky for the time being... its a pretty big event for CA, NV, and AZ (and all those who come far and wide)
i managed to talk my mom into going, and making it a "vacation" sort of ordeal... haha
the wire thats lose thats hanging down there. duhh
it looks like the coolant temp sensor one, only its notched on one side so it slips on...
is it honestly that hard to figure out where wires go on a supra???
i believe my probe pistons came with total seal rings, because i know they werent NDC. and i just used a piston ring filer... wasnt that hard once you got the nack.
oh... thats true. the car i watched with EGT had it 1'' from the flange of the exhaust manifold (which is where its suppose to be as its the most accurate temp)
and why your egts would drop under boost is beyond me, its MORE pressure, MORE peak cylinder pressure, and MORE heat in the engine...
a stroker crank shaft isnt practical... and whats the difference in making the two? NOTHING. just different specs of where to cut and mill.
and we have 'supra' in our name, so the price automatically goes up.
hot or cold engine? and what kind of oil?
pressure is just resistance to flow. thinner oil = lower psi. just because it says its lower psi doesnt always mean its not getting enough.
there better be some BIG advantages considering what i've seen done on other crankshafts that are being made...
espeically if ther $2500 a piece. i understand theres a lot of time, but still.
i was trying to convince my mom that she should buy one and i could drive her around in the fastest grocery getter in town! she didnt go for the idea...
at leats its a cts-v... haha
and i have 1g for albums and 100gb for bandwidth... and thats FREE account with no bullshit. but you can only upload 1024x768 pics, but if all your doing is posting a pic of an engine on a forum, its more than enough.
but why not just wait to assemble everything on the stand? getting all of the turbo, exhaust manifold, and intake manifold bolts are going to be a pain. and installing the arp head studs with the engine in the car is a pain in the ass too... not to mention all of the back bending you have to do...
