still relatively new thread so i'll ask. what about the c1 and m1 connectors? is there any wires that need to be switched? i'm just curious... this is my thread with more details on the question along with pics...
do they really? i always see everyone locking up brakes in F1, nascar and la mans?
+1 if i was racing this car on a track i would definetly find a way to make it work but since i want drifting and its not worth taking my harness apart to make it work.
i agree on a track abs would help but if the car is purpose built for drifting you don't want abs kicking in.
i just did the abs delete and i agree with zoonwen. super easy to do. it only took me 2 hrs to pull all the lines off and put them on. it now gives me a nice place to cut a 2.5in...
all i need is non-abs lines? perfect. before i get flamed and shit talked to. i want to do this since i'm swapping my 1jz out of my non-abs 87 mk3 into my new 89 abs shell. my harness does not have the connectors for the abs. so why have a the abs unit and lines if i can't use it and also...
so i'm getting ready to pull out my 1jz out of my 87 and put it into my new 89 (production date 06/89) thee 89 we all know is the bastard year as it changed physically but apparently can still carry some pre 89 characteristics like (depending on Production date) the 89 can come with square...
is it a stock mk3 boost guage? why would you need it if you have a 1jz? stoock boost on the 1jz is 12psi i believe and the stock mk3 guage goes to 8psi. for this reason i put a stock voltage guage in it's place. the guage is pointless. as far as the oil guage the guys are right 7m sensor may...
400rwhp? i don't think i'm anywhere near that. either way even he states " This is only a guide and should not be taken as written in stone." right now with the slight adjustments made i'm at about 12.2 afr. i don't see how another 70cc's wouldn't bring the AFR where needed as Albert states...
haha agreed. thanks for all the feedback. i bought some 440's off a buddy in PHX. the new wastegate is on it's way also. once all fixed i'll get it tuned and dialed in.
yeah this is justin's old harness and FIC and he did kill his 1j i think at the beginning of the year it was. fuel pressure is 42psi at WOT or no vacuum and 32psi at idle. i think the main reason i haven't killed it yet is because i'm still breaking in the new clutch set up and i'm not doing an...
I thought 11-12 AFR (lean) was a no no at WOT? i've heard lean is mean (not if thats in a good way or bad) but i'm having a issue at WOT where i'm at about 15.8 and sometime goes to 16.3 at WOT... I read this on SF (...
i have a set of rear TT's with slicks. got to put them on today but while i still had the car up i was able to see that if i put the car on the ground the strut would literally sit on the tire. i heard of people running these with no spaces (doesn't seem possible at all) i did see that spacers...
just remember you get what you pay for. if you go the cheap route, chances are you'll end up breaking something anyways which ends up costing you way more than just doing it right the first time. how about saving up and just buy things peice by peice. sounds annoying i know but that's what...
