yeah i also use felpro, have been on both my supras havent had any issues not im using it on my rebuild, but its totally up to you, if you wanna fork up the extra cash go OEM best replacement gaskets, but if not then buy are your own risk :)

update, went to toyota to pick up a few misc gaskets. also bought a clutch rps 3200 from blackkarma, also going to get my flywheel machined and possibly mounted by this weekend. then going to drop the motor in in the next week or so, motors all wired up and all the vac lines are done/...

yeah its best to remove it if you dont have fuel/piggyback, with it your running a risk of blowing up your motor. cause you wont have anything to control the fuel/ and other things that are a key in adding boost. anything above stock boost you will need to get supporting add ons. example...
