thanks guys!
yeah i got a pack sitting in the hatch :), car still not beautiful yet lol.
yeah i was planning on getting a meth-kit before the PNW meet but i might just get it tuned at 15psi for now. im almost done my 500KM break in! lol im going to enjoy this car for now and then meth kit...
well right now i have the fans on everytime when ever the car is on. but im thinking of going back to the fan clutch and also the A/c fans. but will i was wondering if my a/c fans will turn on without the A/c pump? and no a/c unit.
update fixed my power steering pump and fixed my turbo...
well it sounds like a ground, or did you check you EFI fuse? you will need to get knock sensors on that motor.
as for the harness. it could be your harnes as the 87 and post 89 are different. try to put the stock jdm ecu on and try im sure that might help it spark.
hi guys, well i just installed my MAFT on my fresh built motor and it was running great until about the 3rd day of running it. regular AFR's is at 14.4-14.7.
now on cold starts its starts at 20.9 and just dies it takes me 2-3 starts and then once it starts it slowly lowers down to 15.6ish...
Hahaha yah I would if the weather wasn't so shitty!!! Its been raining, and the vids on my phone.
Yah I'm running a flex lite fan controller so far so good. It didn't work cause of a bad ground.
update
friday night, got the motor turned over for the intial crank. had a few issues it started on the third try. the cps timing was way off and didnt want to crank.
after fixing the time got the motor cranked sounded great!!! but i was noticing coolent leaking it was from my new water pump...
well i ran a turbonetics turbo 60-1 t4 with stock fuel, afm, and just a upgraded intercooler but i was only at 9psi , but i also had a safc to do a little bit of tuning. car ran strong no issues until i blew a HG! lol
i've been running without a dump tube for a couple months now no issues, and i drive pretty hard. the sounds is cool but loud, but im going to be putting a tube just for safety issues. i've been fine without but i guess its a hit or miss. but then again im running low boost and no race fuel so i...
well with any MHG its best to get the block machined or the MHG wont seal. you would also have to remove the internals. so its pretty much just a mini engine refresh when its all done. its better to do it right the first time and not worry about it later on.
I just did mine through the shifter, just make sure its level and remove the fill plug and jus pour until the fluid comes out and stops then you,ve got a perfect 3.2l :) , its a lot better then laying under the car and pumping it.
Trust me, ull want to remove the internals I learnd the hard way and didnt it cost me another bhg! Lol , I'm on my 3rd motor and this last one I'm doing it properly and taking my time.
It'll be worth it I'm sure!
well why not just do a ct26-75-60trim ? or maybe a suprasport boss turbos, thats only if you want to keep it stock manifold and dp, best bang for your buck
its a dead or a dying turbo as poodles mentioned, that happened to me last year got another turbo and it was good.
or maybe its time to for a ct upgrade lol
looks like you have all the supporting mods to make some good power.
well looks like if you want to keep the 20psi, id say deck/ machine the head and the block, and a MHG then call it a day!
going with a stock hg will lead to another head gasket at that psi unless you got a really good tuner...
