well I feel kinda shitty, the one post I made was called out in his thread. I was trying to stay out of the whole thing, I just stumbled over it and thought I'd add to the discussion. I had no intentions of pointing fingers at anyone. Sorry guys.
In the diagram, you bypass the existing lines (the ones with arrows) by using another hose which I have drawn in with a thick black line.
(I was going to do it in red, but it wouldn't let me and I didn't feel like screwing with the settings.)
Mine took 3 days to pull.. with the bolt on type puller I pulled the threads from the pulley itself. I had to use the puller with the jaws.. not fun :(
I had the exact same crack on my block. I didn't properly prep my block for a MHG- I sanded + cometic + brake quiet. Its lasted a year now through a lot of abuse.. I'm impressed, but my point is, I havn't had any problems yet.
interior= tacky
rims= icky
a swap and paint would be great, but unfortunately not worth the hastle for the average MKIII owner. I would love to see one rescued, but its a lost cause. :(
What are the specs on this engine, I was under the impression not to long ago you were on the stock block and wanted to push the limits. How far did you get with that?
