    Project Clean 87

Picked up some cardboard today so I can start work on rebuilding my flushmounts tomorrow. I also put the first coat of black ceramic paint on the rotors and calipers and caliper brackets. They already look 10x better than before.

Thank you. Tomorrow I'll start the process of making new flushmounts. This time, they will be perfect. I picked up the cardboard today so I can make templates.

Ah crap, look what new toy i ended up coming home with yesterday

Damn! Best buy discount is pretty nice. When I worked there a few years ago it was 5% above cost. Great way to see what the mark-up is on things.

Probably bent something. I know I had that happen to me with my bumper when it got hit.

    Project Clean 87

Just pulled off the brake rotors and calipers all around. Discovered my drivers side parking brake assembly is slightly broken, so I'll have to fix that. Looks like I'm missing a pin for the front shoe. I'll work on it more later, but I just got another Supra (my friends) that I am going to...

    Post your Pre-89 bumper thread

I'd be willing to be he left is pre-89 header panel on there. I have a pre-89 header panel on my 87 (big shock huh?) and I don't have the squirters (although oddly enough I have the button for them). If he's lucky he doesn't either.

1jz cuts out in higher rpm

The coil pack stems do crack. And the cracks can be very hard to see. Since you have larger injectors and a fuel tuner would be highly recommended as it will allow you to take full advantage of your new injectors. I wouldn't recommend turning down your fuel pressure, especially that low. I'd...

1jz cuts out in higher rpm

Have you checked your coil packs? Are they heat shrinked? I had this problem with my 1J. I fixed it by putting on 2 layers of heat shrink over the coil pack stems.

    Post your Pre-89 bumper thread

Yes they will plug right in. I take it you have the pre-89 bumper support as well since that was also changed to accommodate the new bumper design in 89? Once you get the pre-89 corner markers your front end will look propper (unlike now, the 89+ corner markers look small with all your pre-89...

    Project Clean 87

I have no doubt I'll hit 500 once I get my ViPEC and injectors and fuel rail. Better a short pull than a long one. The graph doesn't lie, the car made the numbers. It already is get in trouble fast :D

    Project Clean 87

Did a little sanding and polishing of the battery box today. The sides could be better, but the top is mirror quality finish. I also drilled some new holes in the top and bottom of the battery box so I could move it to where it should be, 2 1/2" forward, without having to drop my gas tank and...

    86280-14241 vs. 86280-14242

The dealer was talking about the MKIII Supra's that were sold outside the U.S. The MKIV amp is completely different.

    Project Clean 87

Did some more sanding on the intake manifold today. It's smoother, but nowhere near what it will look like when Matt (ST2B) get's done with it. I'm shipping the manifold and the throttle body off to him Tuesday or Wednesday (gotta find a box first) to have him create his famous mirror finish...
