My lucky find: 1989 Toyota Supra Turbo

Yes, firewall VIN is attached before the engines and drivelines are installed. All Mk3 have an MA70 chassis VIN.

    Electrolysis nickel plated exhaust manifold

Nickel doesn't melt until 2600+ degrees F, well above what you should see in exhaust temps, so you should be safe on that front.

    New to the forums, too!

    # 3, 5, and 7 all can be had from the dealer still, and the costs aren't ridiculous. # 1, 2, and 6, your best bet will be to keep an eye on the for sale section for someone parting out a car. # 8... I seem to recall that I picked these up from Driftmotion, a vendor on here. Give Aaron a call...

    Tips for installing HID's

Yes, it is really that bad. JDM housings are actually worse, as they are designed to be the opposite of North American lights, with an upsweep to the cutoff on the left, not the right, making for a really nice method of blinding all oncoming traffic.

Woman's car is stolen, returns ready to drag...

Last time one of my friends got his car stolen, it was recovered full of garbage. Literally. And a bunch of dirt. He figures someone needed a station wagon to carry junk to the dump, and didn't bother going to the dump.

    What does this connect to?

As said before, oil pressure is a single wire, so this is something different. Better pics would help. Knowing where it folds into the engine harness would help too.

No, mine are not finished. However, there are a couple guys that have done this already, I'm by no means the groundbreaker in this case. Pictures have been less than common... I'll see if I can find some links.

Stuck Waste Gate, or just a boost leak?

It's cheaper to go aftermarket. And they work better, too. Kind of tough to justify OEM parts in this case.

Stuck Waste Gate, or just a boost leak?

Not if you are using a stock bypass valve. Depends on what gear you are in, and what kind of boost gauge you are using. If you're relying on the stock gauge, well, it's better than guessing, but not by much. Yes. Your wastegate should not be connected to your bypass valve. The bypass valve...

Fuel Gauge unreliable - wrong readings or totally not working

The sensor is different from the analog to digital gauge package. The digital gauge package was only available in right hand drive countries - Toyota never made one for LHD. This article - http://supras.com/06/techcenter/display.php?QID=47 - was written for the analog fuel sender, but might...

    Installing aftermarket cd player

As I recall, Toyota put in some fancy electronics to determine which antenna signal to use. Far more complex than a simple splitter like the one you linked to. I don't know what the reasoning behind that was, however, knowing Toyota, there was some thought put into it. Personally, I've never...
