    This is what I was referring to as glaze,use a product along these lines to polish the clear.The sand scratches from 2000 grit are hard to get out with a glaze,you'll want to use an actual "buffing compound" for that (has a little grit to it),then follow up with the glaze to polish out swirl marks.

    I do believe you're correct on that.AFAIK they are just orientated in the three directions,doesn't matter if they are 180 degrees difference.

    I'm pretty sure your correct,there are only 2 though I believe (if that is indeed what you are referring to)IIRC these are also the mounting point for the bracket that the interior panel clips to(right?).
