Personally I would check for rust in and around the rear wheel wells.That IMO is harder to fix than any mechanical problems.

IIRC where the USDM TB has 3 small vacuum ports on top (right where it meets the intake)the JDM only has one.Correct?

That's why I said some don't have luck with them.I have had good luck with toyota gaskets my MK3 hit 180,000miles on the factory headgasket,would've lasted longer but when I bought it there was a hose leaking,and the car had been overheated a few times.I've yet to have a 5M that didn't break...

Referring to the hundreds of posts about the infamous 7M BHG.Granted,I have had good luck with genuine toyota and felpro headgaskets,but on 5M na motors,not 7M,and definitely not turbo'd 7M's.Even with the toyota ones some people don't have any luck with 7M headgaskets,let alone e-bay cheapie ones.

Can someone who has pulled their subframes please post pics of how/where the spacers go (large rubber covered washers.)front and rear.My frames have been out of the car for a couple years,went to put them back in and have the feeling that I'm missing something.Might not be,just want to make sure.
