I take mine off every day for VERY short drives (1 or 2 miles)..
it rattles like a tin can full of change but I wouldn't have it any other way (just need to tighten some bolts, 18 years with the top off makes it a little loose)..
I also told my girl I better not catch her driving her Supra...
I wanted a dash mounted display telling me what gear I was in when I was 1st learning how to drive stick [in my Supra]...
but once I learned, it was unnecessary...
those are benz headlights, the mirrors are celica...
the body work looks top notch, just the taste SUCKS...
the door panels would have looked nice if he hadn't over sprayed all over the courtesy lights and the fabric...

yeah, most folks cage 'verts before removing the doors and relocating the seatbelts..
are you going to swap in a 5 speed? those things are auto only, and I've heard of issues with the top not working after swapping the tranny, but I don't think you'll have too much trouble with it..
I like the 1st gen probe..
my friend had a panda black/white LX with the 3.0L Vulcan V6, was going to swap it for a SHO V6, but I sold him my 240 before he had a chance to swap...
