You have lots of wires to extend yes. Lots of soldering ahead of you. Ohh and be very careful of extending the knock sensor wires. They are shielded(signal wire wrapped in other wire that is grounded).
A mustang 5.0 has a 3 wire o2 sensor. 2 same color wires are the heater wires, the 1 different color wire is the signal wire. I believe this is the same idea as the stock wiring harness.
Yup belt is tight.
By exciter wire you mean? The wire that goes to the alt fusable link that charges the battery. Or a wire in the 3 wire clip that plugs into the back?
I'm not really sure. My alternator is for a 91ls400. All the usdm 2j alternators apparently have a long clip not the...

I didnt see any voltage difference from unplugging the fans.

Replaced the alt fusable link. Same problem except my voltage now drops below 11.3v, drove home from the parts store down the street at 7.7v.
Tried unplugging maftpro, no voltage difference it runs terrible.
I would take the alternator back off and have it tested but I'm absolutely so...
Ill replace the fuseable link.
Nope ABS light would only come on when my voltage dropped excessively low before i replaced the alternator and battery.
I will try unplugging the MAFTPRO before I replace the ALT fusable link.
Got a series of weird problems.
1. Went drifting with friends, fan exploded and ripped my Mishimoto up.
2. Got another Mishimoto, 2 electric fans and a radiator probe thermostatic control.
3. Went drifting again, and lost my power steering. Going to the gas station my dash lights were dim...
I havent posted pics of my car since I was in the middle of my 2j swap. Well i've just been enjoying my car since I got the car running and worked out the bugs. Im currently rocking a PTE67dbb, at 16psi its plenty fast so I decided its time to work on the looks of my car. So i've bought a few...
14.8AFR at idle and cruise is where your AFRs are supposed to be at. 14.7 AFR is considered stoich; means every oxygen molecule is mixed with every fuel molecule and burned equal with no oxygen or fuel left over. Just about every car i've seen runs in the 10AFR at WOT.
