I am trying to figure out when my choice of a 6765 journal bearing Precision turbo will spool on my setup so I can figure out the best torque converter for the street and strip where I do not have to use n02 to spool.[COLOR="Silver"]
Have you thought about throwing a quick spool valve in with...
Thanks for the advice guys. I thought I was doing just about everything that could be done to prevent rust but I figured it wouldn't hurt to ask. After all it would be a shame to allow $1600 worth of machine work go down the drain because I simply just didn't ask.
Well I finished all the machine work for my rebuild about a month and 1/2 ago but do not plan to put everything together until spring. I would like to know what would be the best thing I can do to prevent any rust until then. I have soaked it down with wd-40, placed plastic around it, and put it...
Thats funny you mention that someone called your Supra a Probe. I have a friend of mine that has a 300ZX TT and he will bust my balls every time he sees me and calls my car a Probe or The Poopra. Granted he has 20K invested into that car so I really can't say much yet.... But come this summer I...
The chances are if there is visible rust there will be rust that you can't see. I would drop the rear end and do it right the first time. Would be a shame down the road the rusted wells turned into something worse like a cracked subframe.
Shineauto is a company that sales body kits and other...
Well I have invested close to ten grand in my engine rebuild that I will be putting together this spring and would like to go with some nice looking ss lines or nylon braided lines to flow with the several items that I have had polished or chromed.

If I wanted to replace all of my coolant lines and vacuum lines with steel braided lines could someone tell me where would be a good place to get what I needed? Also what size hose and fittings would I need to do so?
No I don't think so either. With the QSV it makes it fairly even. When first purchased the journal QSV combo will be about the same price as a BB. However, when it comes time to have it rebuilt it won't cost you as much for the journal bearing.
I think it also depends a lot on where you live and how often you drive. Some of you that may use your Supra for DD might not want to go that route unless it just boils down to just space. But for those that just like to get there Supra out on a nice day I don't think its that big of deal...
I am aware of who makes the bushings. I'm just trying to figure out what other bushings that I will need outside the items that I have listed above as purchased or plan on purchasing. I just don't want to buy bushings in a complete kit that I may not need. For example the RK complete kit...
Hey guys I would like to replace all the bushings for the front and rear sub frames. I already have a set of st front and rear sway bars with bushings, and plan on purchasing Beech Performance control arm, toe arm, traction arm, and adjustable ends which come with bushings. So what other...
I had mine mounted to the panel right below the glove box. You can't even see it and plus you will want easy access to plug in and out your serial cable to the map-ecu for tuning purposes.
Hey Wes,
That is what I did. I have a picture of my accordin attached to a small intake pipe attached to the filter if you would like to see what I'm talking about take a look at my for sale thread to get in idea.
