    Supra in Snow?

I think a cheap fwd car sucks just as much in the snow. My 91 lude almost killed me a few times since the tires would just lock and I'd start coasting unable to steer or stop. Get an awd car, I would feel safest in one by far. I remember even a heavy rwd truck, I believe it was a black...

    how much from a dealer??

The Toyota dealer near me offered only $2000 canadian for my 92 teal targa turbo auto. I didn't do it. eric

check this out...might be a repost

Ya it's old news, I think it's hot tho. I heard they won't continue the Supra name anyway, so even if it's the new supra it will be called something else, but will be the evolution of the supra nonetheless. eric

    Head Question

OK, Take a deep breath :icon_bigg The pistons 1 and 6 are up you say, so this means they are pushing the gasses out, so your exhaust valve would be open, the smaller one on the passenger side of block as it has to let the gasses out. Your intake valve is probably gona be open a bit too...

    few pics of my baby

VERY nice car bud! Those colours are absolutely gorgeous. It's soo clean too, you must have put in some serious time doing that and keeping it clean. I hope you tidied up the pistons before putting your head back on the block tho :icon_conf , that icky carbon! I just wana scrape it off right...

    cam cover oil vent tube?

You know, it always gets in the way when you work or your alternator. Or when you have to reach next to your engine to pick up some bolts off your under cover :icon_razz . Nah, I think people would just like to clean up the front a wee bit. I rather like Duane's version of the hose, all braided...

    cams for 7m?

Ya, I don't really know for sure if Comp will make 7M cams :icon_razz They do custom grinds so I bet it wouldn't be more than a possible phonecall to talk about it. eric

    cams for 7m?

Well, it IS bigger that stock, like you know, so it is suggested that the full potential of larger cams can usually be best achieved by stronger valvetrain components aswell. TED also makes a string/seat/retainer set upgrade for $800 which is a good option. Ferrea as most know is very common for...

    almost done but....

Maybe it's bouncing a bit? Since the weight transfer to the left side of the car and more towards the front? I would think the rear right side would lift a bit and your tire tries to grip but sorta grips then bounces :icon_conf eric

    cam cover oil vent tube?

Thing is, if it does infact help drain oil from the cam cover, why is it only on the one side? Couldn't both sides benefit? Just my thoughts. eric

    cams for 7m?

TED cams, Comp cams, Crower cams, HKS, possibly many others :icon_razz There's a thread a bit further down about slow's car with his new cams. They were TED custom billet pieces, and their site says some for the 7M are $1800/pai. Too steep for ya? Crower regrinds can easily be had for $400...

    Timing Belt??

You need to take off the crank bolt, crank pulley, and front timing case, it covers the bottom half right behind the crank pulley. NOT the big one tho that sits against the block, just the cover that goes infront of it. Then the belt just pops off. Maybe replace the idler pulley if it's worn...

    valve seats maybe?

By the sounds of it you shouldn't do a valve job :icon_razz But simply, if your head is still fine, you could just replace the old seals with the new ones to prevent any leaks from occuring in the future, you don't have to do anything else to the head. To get them out/in you just have to take...

    I got a harness!!!!

Looks good. I heard tho that with stock seats a racing harness can become dangerous as it needs the 2 holes to guide and retain the shoulder straps from putting too much stress on you, and from injuring your neck and stuff. None-the-less, nice colour, black is back! eric
