Guaranteed it's a loose connection. Either in the car wiring, or in the unit itself, maybe a cold solder joint. A broken fuse, (not a burnt one), can cause problems too.

Where on the manifold? Oil? Front, middle, or rear? Front, possibly cam cover gasket, or CPS o-ring. Middle, cam cover, turbo oil line gasket, or oil filter gasket. Rear, cam cover. At least, those are the possible oil leaking areas I can think of right now. Coolant? Any of the coolant lines...

I got one. My only complaint is the o-ring gets flattened after a while, and when you tighten it, the TRD emblem is no longer straight!:cry:

Screaming sounds like a boost leak to me, like a clamp might not be tight enough. Or a crack in the hose or piping, not likely as you have just replaced those.

Totally non interference. Just be prepared to get towed when the belt goes.

In a pinch, you can stuff a rag in the hole, and with a little creativity, you can make sit at the correct height. My stepson, somehow, lost one of his, and that's how we fixed it. (Cause he was too cheap to by the f-ing thing.)

While I agree that the AFM is more responsive, it's propensity for failure tips the scale for me. I've gone through a couple of them so far, and I'm tired of that. The blow through factor weighs heavily in that choice as well. I would definitely like to vent to atmosphere with my next mod...

^ +1 I'm going that route, as it's the least expensive way to upgrade from the stock AFM. You're already a step ahead, Having the GMs on hand. The standard MAFT is pretty cheap too. The pros cost more, but do more too.
