I wouldnt worry to much about the un filtered air as much as un metered.
The lower line IS the power steering idle up, but its really not needed....i dont use one.
This line is so the when your sitting in a parking spot, and you turn the wheel, the car doesnt stall out.
If your supra moslty stock, maybe with intake exhaust and a MBC, sure its not a "bad" idea to get NA cams.
But if your going for anything over even like 310 HP, stick with the turbo cams...
Before i started mine up, i poped off the valve covers and lubricated the cams. The oil will seep down into your engine. You dont want any realy metal on metal contact upon first start up.
Also, i pulled my EFI fuse and cranked it over a few times. Just remeber to put it back in. I didnt and...
The weight in the doors, as others have said, isnt so much the "metal".
Glass weighs alot.... and so do all the little do-dos to make that stuff work :)
For 2 grand +++ for 2 doors, think of the size of the turbo you can purchase? Or the amount of dyno time you can get.....

Lincoln 275 Square Wave TIG welder, and 3 grand in new equipment, a curtain, leather gloves, jacket and all, for free ;) Used for under an hour. All i had to do for it, was get it out of the factory in under 30 minutes :)
