This is quite true.
My '02 accord's tires (stockers)take 44psi.
My 18's on the cressida take 62
PSI also seems to increase the lower profile the tire is.
I personally am a fan of white wheels, but for some reason I don't really care for those particular wheels in white,I really think they need a chrome/polished lip to look good,or be a different style of wheel(like the ones on the 240 that ERA posted.)
According to whomever I talked to at energy(few years back, can't remember the name)inquiring about using MK2 bushings in my cressida,I asked the difference between the black and red as far as stiffness.I was told that they are about the same hardness, but the black ones are graphite impregnated...
Check in IJ's thread,or the first page in this thread, there's mention of a couple peoples screen names that have done chevy v-8's in their MK3.
As far as the motor swap in Ians car,If you don't include stuff such as the rear end,and the standalone he has,he isn't that deep $ wise, hell I've seen...
Go ahead and trust your used 1UZ.Doesn't matter who made it,or what alloy it's made from.parts wear out,and if you think boost won't expedite the wear process then you're sadly mistaken.
There isn't that much to a standard small block chevy, what exactly are you going through "extensively"?You...
Installed poly bushings in several of my cars now, never had a squeak from any of them(cressida has quite a bit of mileage on it's poly bushings.)
If you get black ones(Energy susp.)they are graphite impregnated, which makes them self lubricating also.
Yeah,I had my current one for 3 whole days before it did that. When you get in that door, bull the lock cylinder out of the handle(should have some wire leads on it..)IIRC it has continuity when you turn the key to unlock it.A lot of times the wire breaks just out of the switch,or the solder comes...
This is a common problem w/the factory alarm on the MK3's.It's more than likely the wire going to the lock cylinder in the drivers door, both MK3's I had this problem with the solder joint in the switch on the end of the lock cylinder had actually broke.A little patience, and about a half hour,and...
That was more directed towards tturnpaw, who was stating how the 1UZ was just as cost effective as the GM V-8 in turns of an engine swap, which,in some areas may be true. But it's not like the 1UZ is a direct, bolt in swap either, let alone performance upgrades for the toy motor are costly,if they...
How much was decked off of the head and block?
The 1.2 head gasket is thinner than stock,w/head and block decked this is gonna raise your compression quite a bit.
