K pretty much built the bottom end today!
And the oil pan painted still need another clear but will be ready to go on tomorrow!
Going to go back and finish up the head tonight, fully disassembled right now although the valves have been set already. Just have to put it all...
Damn that is an insane list!
How'd I get moved down so far? :(...lol Sike!
Are we just bringing the $5?
I sure hope I get mine together and can break it in in time!
Cheers,
Seth
Once your system pressures up I bet that thing opens up like a hooker on a friday night! Get a tube long enough and the diameter of the outside to make sure you press it all the way you!
Seth
All the misc brackets and the wrap around coolant lines, valve covers and a few other things. Then was actually thinking about doing the cam cover and a spark plug galley cover in gold but not sure it if is too much! Turbo will be brushed/matte sanded finish as well as FFIM and IC piping. Not...
This is mine, built it last year just never got the car fully finished before I moved:
About a 10 min machine job without a mill or anything!
Thanks,
Seth
Haha yea that was the main goal. Did my last one in Silver for the same reason. But I have always like the black and gold scheme like the Top Secret stuff so I will see how it turns out!
Thanks,
Seth
Alright got the motor back.....now time to build!
Here are pics of the block I painted this week....
Not Realy sure about the god but we will see how it turns out!
Will definetly have more pics after porting the head and getting to motor together. Going to take full advantage of...
Met up with a guy this morning who has 2-MK4's and a MK3. He came to pick up a FFIM I was selling. The MK4 he was driving has 940rwhp! It was an insanely sick car. Her is on the forums here, or maybe on SF but he said he thought him and a few friends would come out from VA Beach for the...
I have a full set of stock ones! PM me, the car ran fine and held 10psi for the bit I drove it before tear down. I am doing hard pipes and was just going to sell them but if you need to borrow them thats cool!
Cheers,
Seth
Yea that is why I was looking at the square designs. When I was at PRI this year I saw a number of them on race cars. For the volume you can gain it is worth it in my opinion. Not that you really need a bigger volume plenum, most people will never use either of those to the full potenial! I...
Sorry that is not right^^^^ You are forgetting rolling resistance and a whole lot more!
Get an electric warn winch if you are going to be doing this regularly and if it is just one then push it!!....lol Or borrow a friends jeep with a winch on it!
Seth
I Custom built it. When I laid the radiator back it was not longer the high point. So I welded a Rad mount to the elbow. If you have not changed the radiator then there is no reason to go to it, it was just to get the fil back up to the highest point!
Thanks,
Seth
Totally custom one off manifolds:
Modified stock manifold:
Custom Catch can and PS resevior:
Alternator Bracket:
Radiator reclined with IC pipes over top(gold heat shield on the bottom) Megasquirt stand alone with totally custom harness. Starts and idles but...
Use a warn 4x4 winch. It can pull a Jeep or large 4x4 out of the mud should be able to role a supra on a trailer! No idea the drap factor of the Supra but 1500lb should be able to do it since it is rolling. But an electronic one with controls ment to do 4000lbs or something would be safest...
Well I take it round it is.
Performance wise round does not neccessarly perform better.....
That shape is inline with the flow plus it is boosted therefore the plenum is full.
But it is good to know.
BTW the way these are ones I build I just wanted to know what people like. The...
Hey boys and girls,
Just wanted to see what everyones opinions are on FFIM plenum shapes. This is solely from a looks stand point what do you prefer?
Do you like round:
Or Do you like square:
Just curious as what people think looks best. I personally like the square not only...
