Bah. I drive mine in snow without any problems. Regular winter tires, no studs. As long as I don't go over a couple pounds of boost I've got plenty of grip. As long as you have the right equipment, it's all about seat time.
For anyone who was following along, the relay was fine.
The actual problem was the suspension, specifically the coilovers. Seems unconnected, right? Well, coilover suspension allows the car to be lowered far enough that on hard bumps, the front left tire can contact the wiring harness running...
Well, I'm bigger than you, but I suspect that's the case for most of the guys here. And some of the girls. ;) My biggest issue isn't size, it's age... once upon a time I could work on my back on an uneven surface for all day when required, but those days are long gone. Now I get sore just...
No. Boost controllers cannot lower your boost, only increase it. As pointed out above, you're going to need to get something to retune around the fuel cut.

Pulling the battery cable shouldn't kill the car, either, as the alternator should make more than enough power to run it. Unless your alternator is also dead. I can't conceive of a way for power to make it to the engine from the alternator without also getting it from the battery.

No kit available from Toyota. If you call one of the parts departments - like Mark at Vancouver Toyota in Washington - they can put together the individual parts for you, of course.
You're correct about the vacuum lines - even from Toyota it's just measure and cut. :)
Time for a 'vacation' to California. Pick up some of the hard hitters from the SoCal Supras crew, some pliers and a blowtorch, and go visiting.
In all seriousness, you might be able to get some free followup from the SoCal crew.
How do you fund your Paypal? If it's through a credit card, call and talk to your card company... often they'll have a way of reclaiming the funds. Might make PP upset with you, but for that kind of coin you can start a new PP account.
