I think it has to do with the old wiring not giving the 11.x volts the car needs to start. Thats why the relay trick is a simple fix for the problem

Just looking for best ways to go about taking off the paint on my car so i can redo the paint job. I believe the previous owner used some type of house paint and just sprayed it over the original paint..
