Yea I had the A/C recharged the week before I left and it blasts cold as anything I have ever owned! Cold enough that we would run it and then turn it off because it was too cold even when it was 85 or so in MD!
SupraHolics: Naw there was supposed to be something for the longest traveled...
Yes sir and it was blasting! Crazy part is that I averaged about 21-22 mpg down and back which included about 10-12 tuning pulls which kills gas milage!
Thanks,
Seth
Hey guys here are a couple videos of Manny's and Ulices Supra's dynoing at NE2K9 this past weekend:
Manny's Beautiful Red Beast tuned by Chevy(Brian) did 450RWHP:
Ulices 1J beast did 370ishrwhp I believe also tuned by Chevy(Brian):
Hope you enjoy and sorry for the unedited...
Thanks Manny! As I mentioned the pictures don't do you car justice it is even more beautiful in person! The engine bay in my Avatar is my 87' That I have stored at my parents house back in Washington State. Sad thing has sat for 2 years now! I will ship it out here one day and do something...
haha thanks IJ and thanks again for the advice!
Thanks Brent, really wasn't as much work as I thought it would be, basically build everything a weeks worth of nights and then took my time doing the finishing touches.
Scott, Yea I am going to contact AEM but it seems to be a common problem...
Thanks again guys, not AEM as in standalone but I run the AEM boost controller! lol
As for the boost spikes they are in the way the Electronic boost controller handles things and I don't think I am going to fix it without going to a more advanced controller. Running on just wastegate spring...
Haha, thanks guys!
Lots of work!
Didn't dyno at NE2K9 as mentioned originally....
Scott I will let you know when I dyno, looking for 440ish rwhp on pump.
Car is tuned pretty good now but still fitting the AEM boost controllers spikes and jumpiness. Car pulls 15psi just on wastegate...
Well I just finished my new setup this last week. Then got in the car and went on a nice 800mile trip taking me to NE2K9 in NJ and then to Battle of the Imports in MD and then back home to Ric. Car had 2 glitches in my BOV was too tight and was hanging the throttle after hard boost, and I...
Haha, yea I was trying to replace the vent hose from the valve covers to the block that split on my 6 hr drive up there! But I didn't even end up dynoing because we ran out of time!
Seth
Hey,
Sorry I didn't get a chance to meet you there.... I had the black 92' parked a couple down from you. Hopefully next year I will get to meet more people! But your car sounds good in the video!
Seth
Hey Guys great meeting you! And seeing some familiar faces! Had a great weekend even though it was a ton of driving, almost 900miles this weekend!
Mark thanks for putting this together and thank you to everyone for waiting for my slow ass! lol
I will get pics up this later this week. O...
Went to the NE2K9 today. Pretty sweet, long drive though and I didn't even get to dyno due to time issues. But I am in MD now so I will see you all at the meeting area in the morning!
Seth
As I posted in the other Wideband in place of the narrowband thread I am currently have troubles with running the AEM as my narrowband and there is definetly lag in the corrects so I am going to put the stock one in tonight and see how she runs!
Thanks,
Seth
Well the car runs good most of the time but has this lean thing when the RPMs drop down. I am not sure yet if it is load related or RPM related. The wideband corrections are definetly slower then the stock O2 as I was running before. You can tell it has a slight delay. I will be putting a...
Anyone heading to NE2K? I got my hotel today so we are heading up tomorrow night. Got a bit of work to do but the Supra is running Decent. So it will be a long night tonight but well work it! What are you all doing Sat night? I am stay in MD as a friends house about 45 mins away.
