I will be getting a standalone way down the road, but for now the maf-t and safc will fit my wants and needs. If Forcefedsupra doesn't have time to help me tune it I may end up having you do it Scott. I will also be talking to Seth about hard pipes so I can get rid of some of these elbows in my...
Right now I'm using the stock injectors (440) and I'm not running anything to tune it at the moment. I'm about to hook up a maf-t system as soon as Forcefedsupra can help me get it hooked up and slightly tuned.
Do you have two ports on the valve covers? One is a regular port, but the other...
There were a few coolant and oil leaks, but after letting the car idle for a bit and keeping an eye on temps and fluid levels, they all seemed to stop. It appears there was some spilled fluid as well as maybe some gasket that sort of slipped into place after sitting for 6 months. The only issue...
Still have no idea what the leak was about. There were a few coolant and oil leaks, but after letting the car idle for a bit and keeping an eye on temps and fluid levels, they all seemed to stop. It appears there was some spilled fluid as well as maybe some gasket that sort of slipped into place...
After going over the notes and jotting down a few things, i came across the ISC connection. Problem solved. This thing is a blast to drive! And then boost doesn't hit lol It starts to bog down right as boost/vacuum goes to 0
Next Step: re-gap spark plug smaller to see if that helps.
Ok, pulling the tps did not work. We cannot find an idle adjust screw. Can't get a reading on the timing since the engine wont drop below 2200 rpm's (if this does not matter, please correct me. I will continue trying tonight/tommorow). It does the same without the afm sensor plugged in. The...
Ok, so I finally have this together. It starts beautifully. It will rev nicely. It appears to be very rich. I have had to pull the front off to adjust the belt because it jumped timing by 10 degrees. It was even nicer after that, but it would idle very high, 2.5-3K rpms. I will be checking the...
It wasn't the hole, turned out to be the bypass pipe gasket, the coolant was just collecting there. So it idles high, around 2.5-3K, and there is oil mysteriously coming out from some where on the block... off to figure things out... Running really rich too.
Haha yeah I have to figure out a way to mount it. I've got a mismatched set of 7mgte wires and the fifth (and only one I need to mount it so the hood closes) is just a tad too short when the pack faces the front. do aftermarket 7mge wires work with the 7mgte coil pack? I might borrow my friends...
I would like to add that it idles beautifully and smoothy. It sounds much better in person, and hopefully I will get better video here in a few once we have the pipes done.
Also: the oil he spoke of in the end was the feed line not being completely tight, but it was fine once I got the 12mm on...
Sweet, I hope to add a bunch more info this weekend once the rain stops and I can do some actual mini-write-ups within my build thread along with pictures and maybe some first-start video. There's a lot of information I have learned that would have been so much easier had someone said something...
Here is a question I did some research on and concluded that the flow of the 2jz heater pipes is similar to the 7m, it's just that the water pump is on the other side of the block lol Below is a picture of this. Yes.. it is ms paint... :sarcasm:
Eh, I'd rather stick with it, I don't want anything caught one way to reverse into the system the other way lol So now it's raining again and should for a few days... so much for first start tomorrow...
