The permacool adaptor? I havent heard of any problems with it. I screwed it on hand tight and then used a wrench to add not even a quarter turn. Should be fine though..
Got the fitting from Toyota yesterday. It was a hex fitting that mounts from the block to the (new) adaptor plate. It worked fine other than having to go back and remove the adaptor after all the exhaust side of the motor was on!!! :icon_mad:
Now I know.. If you buy the universal kit...
If that's the kit it doesn't have the fitting in it.. I don't need the toyota fitting. The kit only came with one threaded nipple.. the other fittings connect to the main part that connects to the block. You insert the correct small fitting and then screw in the nipple. When you have that set...
I have searched and I have most everything connected. Here is the issue.
I ordered the permacool universal kit and the thread tube that goes from the block to new housing is connected just right.. However there is only one of those threaded fittings. Now I have the remote filter end with no...
I am installing the Maft Pro (speed/Density) and I want to know what vacuum line do I need to use to connect the map sensor?? I wanted to mount it on the passenger side..
Ok!! Now that's what I needed. The info on mounting to the cold side was great as well.. Luckily I have a 88 NA in the garage and will probably just use that hard pipe.
Thanks, :icon_bigg
This is the article I found a ways back.. No hose to the accordian pipe! Not suggesting this is the "right" way. I may try to buy this can if it is still available. Why not drain the catch can back to the oil pan??

OK.. Well I just had the head rebuilt and I installed a stock HG with Copper spray. New cooling lines, had the intake mani cleaned and removed EGR. I also cleaned out the Intercooler and I am installing hardpipes.. Sooo all should be good. That's why I want to route to a catch can.. I want to...
OK.. so could I connect both cam covers with a T fitting run the single hose into the can and the put a small breather filter on the other can fitting?
I thought I read somewhere this would act as a boost leak or something..:icon_conf I just want to make sure my setup is right.
Thanks...
My motor is almost back together and I want to use a catch can.
My question is do I need a vent(Breather) setup with the can?
Do I just take 2 hoses from the cam covers and connect the 2 hoses to the catch can? I have seen a few setups like this but not sure if it is the "proper" PCV setup..
Check this out. These are responses I got. My Pics were taken at TDC.. My intake cam was not facing the drivers side though. These are stock turbo cams.

Not that I know of.. Black87turbo (Val) said he saw a red 91 the other day and it was clean!! I got the FPR, Fuel pump, injectors, head, intake and exhaust mani on over the weekend and hope to have it finished and running not this weekend but mabe next..
That's fine.. I should have taken a pic of the CPS. When I installed it the little notch was in line with the contact but moved past it a little bit as I pushed it in.. I did a search and found a pic on the cps install. Thanks for the info..
