This has turned into a pre 89 vs post 89.
Somebody on here, I can't remember who, bought a brown pre 89 NA that was almost showroom condition. He had a bodyshop paint and install an 89+ wing on it and it looked awesome.
I like both but prefer the pre 89 ass.
I love older Celica's...
At this very moment I do NOT have the motivation to do it again, so I will have to take a break. I won't attempt that install until after the blue car is gone. Then I'll start tearing the white car apart. I'm thinking of even swapping the headlight washers also. I have two other good header...
Well I finally got all the wiring harnesses that I wanted off the blue car. They were difficult to say the least. I can't wait till I put it all in the white car:nono:
A pic of them hanging off my engine hoist. Yes I know the garage is trashed and it's mostly all supra parts and crap...
Cool. Have not seen something like in a while. Easy call for the paramedics. No way that Beetle was the only other vehicle involved.
FWIW, Beetles are cool. That's what I learned to drive in. They are also worth more than our Supras. They have a bigger following.
Going ahead and start a build thread now. Ryan aka da89soup started one and after months and hundreds of replies of jibberish, he's finally doing something. :icon_razz
Why don't you just buy an 89+?:icon_razz
I like both, and have had both. Currently have 86.5 The only post 89 item going on it is the climate control. Don't care for the cheap silver looking crap.
James I glad you finally picked up the car. I was about to offer "favors" to take it off Scott's hands. It's a nice car. Make it a bad ass sleeper with a stock look.
I did not see that particular muffler. Do you have a specific link. I love your car btw. It cleaned up very nice and the exhaust looks great.:icon_bigg
Ok, so while removing interior pieces in the hatch of my blue parts car, I found the power antenna was unplugged and that's why I could not get it to go down. I pulled the dash and harnesses behind it before I found the antenna unplugged. Any suggestion on how to get the mast down? I was...
Well first, I don't think I ever posted an engine pic of my 86.5. Here it is....
So clean, so simple.....sigh!
Now for my rant. Well I finally got the fucking dash out today. Not so easy the first time around but when I do it again on the white car it will be easier.
Let's flash...
Yes they are but they aren't mine. He was showing me what I should do for my next motor. I've got stock internals, well, the pistons are .020 (did I put the decimal in the right spot?) over, but other than that, stock.
I don't think he'll care who claims it. The block is in the front seat and the rest of the engine is in baggies in the back.
Ryan, it's silver on red, not gay blue, thank God. I could not have stood the sight of that!:icon_razz
