    Gs300 manual conversion

I have actually looked into the R154 into GS300 for some time now. I know it has been done in the SC but the bodies are not exactly the same and so some adjustments will have to be made to the transmission to get the shifter to sit right. The SC300 guy made an adapter to make it longer I...

    Rattling from Valves near CPS

Yes. The original pistons were looked at and reused with just the rings and bearings replaced, the Rods had some machine work done to them. Head had a valve job with new seals.

    Rattling from Valves near CPS

They were adjusted to TSRM spec 3 months ago. And were fine until recently.

    Rattling from Valves near CPS

Is it better to have the shims make the clearances smaller or larger? I believe my shims were all within spec at one point though.

    Rattling from Valves near CPS

I get a rattling sound from 1500rpm to 2200 rpm. It is most noticeable when the engine is cold and it starts to go away and is barely noticeable when the engine is at operating temp. The sound completely goes away after 2200 rpm. I thought it was something in my engine bay rattling until I spent...

Anyone used this turbo from driftmotion?

I got the same thing from MDC. On stock boost it's pretty much like stock. So, you can worry about management and fuel upgrades later if you don't increase the boost. I almost went all out but for right now I'm just enjoying driving it stock.

    motor locked on the stand????

If the engine has been sitting for a long time then the oil/assembly lube on the crank/pistons might have deteriorated over time. If you still cant get it unstuck try relubricating everything.

    eng mounts

Yup, just use the mounts that were originally on your car. The earlier style mounts seem to last longer than the 90+ ones. Both of mine (90) were split in half when I took my engine out.

Oil Leak from Dipstick hole where it mates to the block?

I have a newly rebuilt (by myself) engine that I recently put into my car. I noticed that I have a consistant oil leak that drips every few seconds. It is dripping from the oil pan on the passenger side near the engine mount and the oil pan drain plug. The thing is that the block is oily...

Could my CPS gear be slipping?

Well, my base timing with the TE1 and E1 jumped has changed. Can the CPS adjust itself or is base timing set completely by assembly? I just looked at the CPS gear and it seems fine. Nothing seems shaved off. Its all bronze in color except for a light silver portion in the center of the...

Could my CPS gear be slipping?

My car has not been on the road for a while now. I set the CPS up correctly so that the two metal parts that are slightly magnetic were touching at TDC. I put the cover back on and adjusted it up and down to get 10* of timing. It was fine for a while. I've just been idling it and driving it...
