First let me say that if this post is inappropriate please move it as needed. The rules stated "cars powered by 2jz-ge" so i took a liberty to ask.

I'm thinking about converting my 98 GS300 to a 5 or 6 speed manual from either a MKIII or MKIV, and would like to know the following

1. Could it be done at all?

2. If Yes, will it require modifications to a drive shaft?

3. Will supra ECU work in this case.

4. Which pedal set is best to use? will MKIV supra manual clutch pedal work?

The engine in this Lexus is 2jz-ge VVTI with a 5 speed auto.

I have actually looked into the R154 into GS300 for some time now. I know it has been done in the SC but the bodies are not exactly the same and so some adjustments will have to be made to the transmission to get the shifter to sit right. The SC300 guy made an adapter to make it longer I believe. It was pretty nice. You'll also need a driveshaft custom made.

As for the ECU, the GS is so complicated you should use the VVTI head you have and then get the bottom end built or get a Supra block. However, this means your turbo setup will not work with MKIV off the shelf stuff and you will need to get specific NA-T stuff or custom.

It can be done but its just a lot of work and its going to be all or mostly custom. Good luck.

I think you can swap a r154, The mods require to extend the shifter just like a soarer r154 has...
