Yeah, I think that was him. Definitely a small world. Speaking of which, you and the other NC guys need to make our May 2010 meet! We may even have a portable dyno if things work out right. Check out the thread.
That's what I'm talking about! I have some High resolution ones as well, but they...
I would love to have some so that I can make posters out of them for my house and garage! I have some great lotus and mkiv pictures, but mkiii ones would be a great addition!
Btw, rtrdpenguin (not to thread jack), but I ran into a buddy of yours at one of the local junkyards. We were...
It's all good!
It appears the DP cancels out the cat closest to the motor. And I believe the catback cancels the other cat that is further down the system.
It sounds good, but I don't have that right now, nor will I for a few weeks.
So, update on how fast she is. I ran my...
It would have been running sooner had I had a better cash flow situation. After doing the 2jz swap, this was cake. And the next one will be even faster as long as money allows. :biglaugh:
If you need help/advice, let me know or check some of the build threads around here. That's how I've...
So the Shaftmasters 1 piece arrived yesterday afternoon while I was at work. So my current list of pieces to install:
1) Aluminum DS
2) Prosport Oil Gauge
3) Mechanical Boost Gauge (for now)
4) Marlin Crawler shifter seat and lower piece
5) New tranny side piece for the speedo cable...
Who was it that replaced the window moldings with some really nice generic molding the glass shop had in stock when he changed out his windows?
GL with putting in the new molding. I have that issue as well.
They said the motor mount bolts are no longer available, and 2 weeks on the transmission cross-member bolts. Fuck it, I'm hitting the store tomorrow. lol I need to get fresh bolts for my new Shaftmaster's DS anyways.
Finally got mine right. Shaftmasters aluminum one piece will be here tomorrow, so I am definitely going to be at this meet with a running supra! LOL
If anyone needs a place to stay when they come down, I have couches and a comfy floor! lol
Called Toyota and they are unable to source either of the bolts I need. They found them, but don't have any in stock and apparently no-one has any in any warehouses. Off to the local fastener shop. I think the tranny bolts are 14x1.5 and the engine mount bolts are 18x1.5.... we shall see.
I have a multimeter, I just can't quite get it. lol Which link was it that had the best instructions? I had to reload my computer in the past day and lost my links
Ok, I'll swing by there. My only problem is that I don't know if they will have them or be able to tell me. I've tried it before when I was doing my 2jz swap. I need the bolts on the underside of the car, that need an extension to get at them through the hole in the bottom of the chassis engine...
I just found out the hard way... Buy it as a complete assembly or you will throw it 'out of time' and cause vibrations and possibly cause damage to the driveshaft. I just bought a Shaftmasters aluminum one-piece. So far, I have not regretted dropping the extra $$$. Check my build thread and it...
I can't find this anywhere, but what size and thread are the bolts that bolt up to the stud on the bottom of the motor mounts, and secure it to the chassis? I lost mine, and I want to get new ones from Lowes so I can actually drive it without worrying about the back and forth torque-ing.
I broke mine in the same way once she ran right. And so far, it sounds beautiful! I love how smooth it is!
So btw... I think you have my car's long lost twin... in a different color. You're trim is broken in the exact same spot on the driver's side, and I bought mine with a rod-knocked n/a...
Well, I got under it this morning and I am able to move the driveshaft around with about 1" of play from side to side. The center bearing is COMPLETELY shot. I have ordered a shaftmasters Aluminum 1 piece.
