mine did the same thing, turns out i hooked up two vacuum lines wrong, the were around the rear side of the intake manifold, maybe get a diagram or another supra close by and make sure they are all hooked up right, very easy to mix em up sometimes

hey man my problem was the tps, i ordered a new one from toyota replaced it and the problem went away:icon_bigg:icon_bigg:icon_bigg i knew the tps was screwing up my idle but i didnt know it was the reason for my car breaking up at about 3-4 k, its boosts but once u get into that rpm range...

about the cps, a lot of them have problems in the ground wire-there are three contacts in the tps, all three have a ground wire going from them(a white or greyish wire) and they all connect into one, the area where they connect is poorly insulated(just tape from the factory)and it corrodes...
