You can remove the 86 mounts and put them on the 90 block and problem solved...
As far as slave goes...yes slaves are different but masters are the same for the most part (different looking and mounting) but same internal displacement+stroke so all you'll need is the driftmotion clutch hose...
You won't see much gain from that as exhaust is only going to flow as much as the smallest exhaust restriction will flow.....that elbow is what sucks....next inline is the stock turbo as our motors out flow and breath the ct26.
And what exactly are you talking about "vacume"? The port in the intake flange is for coolant feed...into the iscv...to the throttle...then down into the hard pipe that runs around the block back into the water pump..
You'll probably be going speed density so running water threw the throttle isn't really a big deal....sometimes the throttle shaft itself can be a boost leak so in some cars you should run them....in a stock 7m it's best to keep them I believe but still the throttle sits on top the engine so it...
The downpipe is pretty much the most important part on the exhaust system...it's what makes or breaks power...this is my downpipe (BIC divorced downpipe)
expect to pay about $450 for one...not cheap but work great and sound even more badass.
Not much unless you get a good turbo downpipe to complete the system...a catback won't give you much power but a full turbo back 3" exhaust has been dyno proven to average an extra 30hp by itself...
Generally the thicker the gasket the lower the compression, yes...but it all depends if the motor was decked at some point in it's life...sometimes a thicker gasket will make stock compression if done properly.
Keep in mind that a 100 shot of nitrous in a 3l motor is different than a 100 shot...
Yeah another concern...I plan on running tbolt clamps untill I get an aluminum rad and this build proves itself and then may use these...either way I have them just in case...a careful hand and a razor blade should get them off without a problem.
It only takes 20 miles to break in a motor...run the bitch hard and get sone vacume on the rings...seat them good and fast!
I don't understand why people "baby" new motors!?
The stock oil cooler in a gte doesn't see 2 pounds let alone 40 so psi isn't an issue....remember it just drains into the pan there for it will not have any pressure....
Now his set up may see pressure as it's too small of a hole...I'd use -10 hose at least for oil lines.
It's not the cat that makes a big difference...it's the iron elbow bolted to the turbo that sucks....that alone will raise boost...and 2.5" exhaust is only 1/4" bigger than stock so you won't get much gains with it.
You're rocking a stock headgasket so raising boost will probably blow it soon enough...
But to shim the waste gate....you unbolt the gate actuator "two bolts" and slip a washer between the compressor and the actator bracket...washer for each hole...one washer at a time to reach target...
So I picked up a set of gates racing coolant hoses today from Jsc speed...I asked if they had tbolt band clamps but they didn't but they had these gates clamps....guess it's just a heat shrink tubing that is supposed to clamp the hoses..I picked them up as they look like it would make for a...
What makes you think you need calipers? Honestly I just recomend going to napa and getting brake rotors...pads are pads for the most part just get good ones....calipers<----doubt you need them
I have brembo rotors on my na and they aren't worth what they cost...they are good but still just...
