you prob get a little surge but not much i would upgrade to a tial 50mm with the softest spring rate you can find. and 2j that would explain the noise lol. mine sounds like a blunt force of air. Real Hks says HKS in the silver plates Fake says SSQV

Doesn't really sound like surge to me. But my Hks sounds a lot different and I have a real Ssqv3 purple insert. Sounds like it does on a 1jz

In that case check engine codes if nothing i would start looking into tps sensor and AFM first by replacing them or using a buddy's

Try and locate and borrow a ECT Computer for the tranny and see if it helps If it's only doing it when the button is on then it's definitely not AFM or plugs...

me personally for 400hp i would go with a billet 58trim or 60-1 ct26 from Albert if you want to stick with the CT but the 35R would be great for it to really easy numbers for a 35R Side not just drove my car from a 3rd gear pull it spooled by 3100rpms

35R is my feature plans and for 550whp area i think it's awesome but i hear it has a brutal power band. I have a 60-1 CT-26 with a very very big exhaust clip and i get full boost around 3300rpm
