    Leecheater's rebuild, getting there

Emilio, I am not interested in milking out as much as I can. The exhaust came with the car when I bought her and has served me well for 10 years. When the time comes, I will sell local if possible. Maybe even a trade??

    Leecheater's rebuild, getting there

Mike, with luck we should be over 700. Right now, even without spool valve hooked up, at wastegate pressure of 22, she's real strong. It will be interested to see what 30 or 32 lbs will do. Emilio, Sean is first going to fabricate his 7m down pipe, then we will be making 2 custom identical...

    Leecheater's rebuild, getting there

The latest: We are fast approaching dyno tune day, this Wednesday. We seem to have corrected the radiator cooling issue. The latest difficulty is a spool valve actuator diaphragm malfunction. It seems when we were checking the spool valve, making sure she opened and closed correctly, we blew in...

    Steve's mildly out-of-control build

Looking good Steve. I want a set of the M/T's once my Dunlops are shot

Big news coming. I promised not to spill the beans. He's under the car, pulling off the pan as I write

What amazed me the most was how dry it is the under engine area and tranny area.I have never seen one that didn't have a few leaks and drips. Over all the body seems to be pretty darn good. There is a bit of surface rust under neath where the under coating has stripped away and a few chipped...

Adam, I looked pretty close. It really doesn't seem to have much rust, certainly not like many I have seen. Seems like Supra's attrack rust. Even mine needed some minor rust work and it has never seen snow or driven in the winter.

It really looks pretty decent Sean. It's a little banged up. Don't change anything but the down pipe and see how she runs. Wonder how long she stays stock? Any bets??

    Red (LazyEye) Supra Build

Looking good Dan. Let me know if you need the hoist. Getting the old 87 from Sean for parts was a real smart move, giving him back the car not that your done stripping her was even smarter.

    Leecheater's rebuild, getting there

Rob, I am not complaining at all. Steve was correct about their warranty. I just checked on the delivery date. Will arrive on Thursday. Tonight, Sean pulled off the exhaust manifold after I held his feet to the fire. We could hear an exhaust leak, and also feel it. Once off, we found that one of...

    Leecheater's rebuild, getting there

I just got e-mail notification that the Mishimoto radiator was covered and it will cost $10 for the shipping of a new one. WOW !! They wern't kidding about a no questions asked warranty. I hope they got her into todays mail. Will be posting up Sean's fabrication to use an OEM fanclutch and blade...

    Leecheater's rebuild, getting there

Steve, do you think their warranty will cover a flan blade injury? We also noticed the radiator had bowed out quite a bit.

    Leecheater's rebuild, getting there

Steve, what do you think about Sean's design for the fan clutch? I can snap a few pic's if he didn't do so. Pisses me off. I ran the same set up last year and no issues with it hitting anything. I know she was pretty tight in there. Was there much turn around time on the radiator?

    Leecheater's rebuild, getting there

We took the Supra out for a short spin. All along we have had clearance issues with the Moshimotos radiator and the 2jz fan and clutch. Well, we only got about 3 miles and one pretty good pull and the fan blades contacted the back side of the radiator. Needless to say, several damn good cuts in...

funky_monkey58's What if you could start from scratch? Thread

Rob, that will never happen. He still has the fuel system for the old black 87, good for 800 h/p, huge intercooler, plus all the knowledge he learned on the first one. Heck AEM's are not too expensive now days. I suspect by the end of the summer, he will have it hoped up pretty good. Next...

Here we go again!! Good thing you were able to get some really important stuff off the old 87 shell. Just remember I get dibs on the lift!

    Steve's mildly out-of-control build

Steve, with the new titanium wrap, Gary and I didn't itch at all. I may have enough left for your down pipe. Let me know if your interested and I will look. I am still watching for a great deal on a turbo blanket also.
