ok so here is my thing, i have an 87 turbo, and my friend has an 89+ na, i was wondering what all id have to do to make it turbo using my existing components, as in could i just transfer the turbo, manifold, intake mani, and intercooler piping over and it be ok to run a small amount of boost...

well i made a halfway between a sogi and what this guy is trying to create, i love it, i have done it twice, because the first time was waaay too short and required way too much effort, but i made mine again and added about 3/4 to a whole inch to my earlier design and its absolutely perfect

trd ftw, but jsut to clarify, earlier in the thread when i spoke of my hurst i meant the pistol grip not the t handle, you guys should try it

yea i agree, i have a custom homeade shortshifter lol, so that hurst is amazing, its so smooth, but i get tired of it every now and again so i go with the trd knob, which is my current, however i do like to mix it up quite often, i have about thirty shift knobs between my two vehicles

thanks guys, that was extremely helpful. now heres the thing, i dont know that much bout the rearend ratios so which should i have? i already have an 87 turbo stock one, but would the 89+ be better or even the na rearend?

ok i have an 87 turbo and i was wondering if there is any way for me to tell what kind of rearend i have, do they all come lsd in the turbos? is there a specific size designation? how can i tell what size mine is, i believe its lsd, it behaves like one?

yes i used contact cleaner, and both switches looked ok, but ill look again tonite, and im not really sure what to test under there with a voltmeter, because its all one big electrical circuit block on the driver side, idk ill figure it out tho, but yea its sooo much nicer with that window open

ok guys i officially got the passenger side switch to work, yes the contacts look like someone took a poop on them, as well as the drivers side, but for whatever reason i cant get the driver side switch for the pass side to work, oh well, il get it in due time but at least we can roll it up and...

but why would it be the switch when sometimes the driverside works and sometimes it doesnt either, its the same for both switches, so idk what it could be, but im guna try everything you guys are suggesting, thanks, and if anyone else has any info that hasnt been addressed yet please let me...

i had this issue, the power supply to mine was gone and i had to strait wire it to a toggle switch in cabin, but thats just mine, may be of some help to you, hope so

btw, does anyone know where the fuses are for the windows, i havent a clue

but i dont think its a switch, because it doesnt decide which one to work with, just whichever you happen to push when it decides to work, i jsut want the stinking thing to work becasue my fiancee is prego and i dont want her to be nearly as uncomfy as she is, its drivin me insane to figure this out
