We think of things differently. I would want to be in a Supra. Yes it is better for a car is dissipate because the parts take the blow and not you. Still a good car though! =)
Good job, I actually found out the three tems signals on the ECU as well I just swapped a guys 1jz into his car. sadly it was rear ended 2 days ago so I am again swapping the motor into another supra for him. Good thing you have the rest. I didn't need anymore to get this Supra running. Awesome...
:'[ Not fair. =) good news is.. today I start the process of taking the 1jz swap from that banged up Supra and swapping it into a auto '88 turbo shell.. 5-speed swap time.
Another car rear ended him. Guy was not paying attention I guess? he told me the driver that hit him NEVER got out of the car to see if anyone was okay or not, maybe scared he'd get his butt handed to him. Anyhow they never really saw the guy that hit him, they waited till the cop got there.
He...
Top was off when it. I was talking to my friend and we were curious as to what would have happen if it was on? I am sure that force would shear the bolts.. or would have just buckled. I hope I can do all the wiring and transfer of stuff on his car within a few days. I will work hard on it.
Yup the car was hit at around 65. Good news is he'll be here in about 1 hour 15 minutes to drop off a shell and bring me the broken supra tomorrow Ill have this swap done in a few days for him, and he'll be back no the road!
Alright so.. I finished a Supra for a guy about a month and a half ago. I got a call today from him saying " Eathen I got a new project for you " and was told about 45 minuets ago a guy rear ended him going about 55-65 Mph.
Thank god he is okay but the car suffered dearly. The important thing...
Time to look at the wiring if you want, I can help you make sure all wires are connected where they're suppose to be, maybe something is just not hooked up right, also check ground, and any terminals at the battery. I was able to drive my 1JZ car and when I got under full boost the car would...
Did you try giving it throttle a bad IAC will cause it to be a high or low idle and also stall. You might be able to figure out more if you try giving it gas. Could be the ECU since they like to go bad, or the map sensor even.
Alright, the passenger side of the trans is indeed the backup light switch. it has two wires coming from it. Red \ Black and is on the M1 Plug and the other is Positive for backup light switch Plus for Heater water valve VSV --------------- YELLOW BOTH are located on the M1 plug.. Hope this...
Water temp gauge wire is a Yellow/Green : your Oil pressure has to have the 7M adapter hose with a 7M oil pressure sending unit. The wire color is Yellow/Black.
I would go with a 2JZ, if you already have swap mounts and everything the 2JZ goes in really easy. 2JZ for sure if you have the money. The 1JZis awesome I love them, but I would go with a 2jz any-day.
