That is a JZA70 ECU 1JZ. Also the plug is the (M1) 87-early '89.
Answer is yes, but also red/ black.
1. Signal backup light switch --------------------------------------------- Red \ Black
2. Positive for backup light switch Plus for Heater water valve VSV --------------- YELLOW...
No misfire? Also the mounts you installed, are you sure they're not broken? What year is your car, if you had the fluid filled mounts; which take the vibration better, then you will feel more with these more to say " solid mounts " that are just rubber like a hockey puck, maybe a little softer.
Yeah is it here. I pay $18.00 I believe, at one dealership I was charged more. Toyota will sell one US gallon not premixed. So you get 2 Gallons out of it. Honda on the other hand only sells you their coolant in a 50/50 mix which is total BS.
You're not going to use Toyota ( red ) coolant? I read up on a few things saying Toyota uses their additives to help the water pump not corrode and die fast. Anyhow I am glad to hear this is going well!
A lot of Code 52's happen because the wires at the plug starts to wear away or break. Check both knock sensor and see if the plugs are attached correctly. I had Code 52 once, it was my rear knock sensor wiring that went right to the plug.
It looks to me that with a stand alone on the 1JZ A/C will still work. The Idle up may not though? let me look into that. Ill find a wiring schematic and see what is running where. It would make sense for it to go through the A/C amplifier, then send a signal to the ECU to idle 100-300 rpms...
How much coolant is in the coolant over flow tank at cold* before you get in your car in the morning. If you filled it almost the way the coolant fromt he motor could go back into it causing it to over flow. There are marking for hot/cold levels on the overflow tank.
A few things that will help all of us figure out this sooner would be.
What turbo are you running? What *turbo parts* you saying you have running are on your cars? Wastegate? Internal external? Like it was stated above you want a wide band... unless you enjoy problems. Your boost controller...
I am getting use to schematics. I truly think that schematics are more widely used to trace where wires go to, but I wish Toyota would have taken every plug, like I did, and give you a color, and with a description of what it powers. Is it necessary? Maybe not, but I am more of a visual learner...
I posted two different threads so people do not get confused at all. I gave it thought, to combine them, but i thought this would be better, sorry if no one else feels this way :[
Thanks. I hope to maybe get harnesses over the years and just take the color and check each pin to make sure where it runs too. I will be able to give everyone the functions of a '88 Supra ECU pin-outs with colors in about a few days.
I do not mind, also the colors are not really what you have...
So It took some times to do this, but every wire has been check, and color codes. SupraDupra has made the picture you're looking at. Online there are a lot of these pictures, but they're never complete. I wanted to give color codes to, as I feel they're just as important as knowing what each pin...
This is the wiring for an early '89 Turbo Supra 5-speed. The plugs will actually fit a '87 and '88 but the wires were changed and removed from some plugs so please note the differences.
A lot of people think there are 87-88, 89-92 wiring harnesses, but there are more combos. Hope this helps...
I have had some of this stuff done for over a year now, and it has been on a different site. Well in case the site I have it on ever goes down or away that would be very unfortunate. I have a few more of these for 1jz stuff too. Thanks guys let me know if you need any help.
This is from a 1988...
Welcome I see you're new here. At the top of this section there are links to different places that you ca find parts, or at least it use to be there. The best spots I have found would be Driftmotion.com, eBay, Supraforums, Supramania, and clublexus.
You have to remember that many 1JZ parts are...
