Yup and its the new v2 version.
Driftmotion has it in the works but we have to wait for the post 89 version.
He has the pre 89 already finished I believe
Really I've heard of good swaps costing tons of cash. Something about buying a used motor and just doing a compression test and putting it in my car doesn't settle nice with me
Who knows what this motor has been through and the real miles and abuse or where and how long it has sat.
2jz...
THIS could be you problem I'm assuming at higher rpms is where you go lean and into the 12afrs ?
Your fuel pump is old and probably can't keep up. Be care full because 12afrs is risky under boost very risky
Without a exhaust leak. 14.5-15.5 a little leaner cruise is not a bad thing also same for idle.
So here's a break down of what i shoot for.
Idle 16-17
Cruise14.5-15.5 is normal I would like to run 15.5-16
Full throttle 2,500 - 4,500rpm 11.8-11.9
Full throttle 4,500 - 6,500rpm 11.4-11.5
This...
Running rich can be just as bad as running lean.
Also a exhaust leak will show up leaner the you really are.
Example: if you are running 11afr with a exhaust leak you are really running richer 10.5 maybe even worse.. something to keep in mind
There's gonna be people who go both ways but in ll honesty the 2J had proven it self time and time again. The 7M has too but i think the owner plays a bigger roll in a High power 7M then a 2J
I like it because it's plug in play and all you need is a map sensor and air temp sensor. And for less then $1300 its still miles ahead of a piggy back system
Really i figure so far with the money i spent i'm around 375whp and not including the price of the car about 4k in parts
Now to be honest a 2JZ GTE swap would cost upwards of 6k just for the swap (not to sure just a rough guess) and that nets you around 280whp..
