So i had some photos in my phone that i just toiled a look at and in this one photo of the intake side of my motor you can see what appears to be the headgasket
I don't understand why you beg to differ....
You sound like you were agreeing with him...
And why do you think 90ft lbs is to much for a composite gasket. I never too seem to have many problems
Dang well from driftmotion the head bolts are half that price...
And the head gasket is $80..
The cams are is to remove and the head shop that just surfaced mine all i did was take out the cams and they charged me a even $40 and had it done the next day.
Ok so i am in the same boat as you Hotwheels and yes this is to rich.
You run risk of washing the cylinders. You can try lowering your fuel pressure to help lean it out a bit but you really wan this thing closer to 11.5afrs
In between 11 and 11.5 is a safe point.
When i was using a piggy...
NO you shouldn't be able to see the Head gasket with the head on....
But seriously you can take the cams out and get the head decked for $50 U.S.D
Buy a $50 engine gasket kit from ebay.
Get another Toyota head gasket if the one you have is damaged from this.
You can Re use the head bolts...
I'm sure he means that as a far future goal..
I'd one day like to have a 1000whp car but i know i'm no where near ready lol. But it's a life goal of mine.
Very interesting although its much more nice then the previous car i would be careful to why he is selling it.
The car has not been started in 4 years but $4500 for a project car that is not running...
And since it's modded working on it and figuring out what he changed could be a pain in the ass
Yeah dude I don't see much hope for it.
Ya at the least you need to take the head and drain that oil ASAP. I have arp head studs and never did a retorqe and I was fine for almost 1 and a half of beating the ever living crap out of my car..
to only have the gasket fail to no fault of my own and...
Yeah the head gasket just didn't seal correctly. Probably due to the extra hassle you had to deal with when having the turbo and other things installed.
I am currently replacing my second hg because I had a couple mis haps with blown coolant hoses and bad water pump that just put to much stress...
I personally will tell you not to use a FCD the reason why is because what happens if you are at 100% throttle and your wastegate fails and boost spikes to 30psi and you had nothing to stop it ... (Bang!)
The stock accordian hose will stretch over the Lexus housing how ever it your it old and...
Make sure it is at 10* at idle while in the diag box ports te1 and e1 are jumped with a paper clip these are the same ports you jump to check engine codes.
Now if the timing is off simply loosen the 12mm bolt that holds the CPS in place. Slightly turn the CPS back or forward until desired...
Your fine. What happens is you upgraded you exhaust allowing your car to breath better.
It is very common to see a increase in boost when doing this. The factory turbo will trigger boost cut most commonly from 10psi to 13psi it varys due to outside temps and where you live, the density of...
Well I'm sure you can make your power goal with out doing it.
I'm also sure it might take down the reliability a bit.
The ones you normally see stroked are 1000+ HP cars so i don't know the pro's of having it stroked for a lower hp build
This obviously only applys to the stock 02 the wideband of course of no effect on the way the car is running.
So now you must narrow down where the exhaust leak is and is it before the stock 02 sensor ? If so it will affect the way the car runs.
