    Eagle Rods + Stock Pistons?

Im no expert, but I have been told to keep WD-40 away from everything except rusty nuts and bolts. Something about dissimilar metals. All the motors I have built I used the same plain old straight weight oil I broke in the motor with to lube the rings, and lots of it. Yea thats a good idea...

    Eagle Rods + Stock Pistons?

Not sure if I missed it, but did you assemble it or did they? It sounds like you did all the other stuff correctly, the 30deg hatch is real easy that has been in every Chilton's since the beginning of time and every guy for the last 30+ years has been asking for that. Last machinist I had...

    Eagle Rods + Stock Pistons?

Did you do a leakdown test? Maybe you only have a few rings that need replacing. I know I had an issue with leaning out my JE pistons, I did a leakdown and only a few cylinders are bad. Although I am not happy with the oil consumption its not worth me taking the whole motor apart at the...

Please God help...(Pilot Bearing Will NOT Come out)

I have never had to cut in 2 places. Usually I cut it so deep that the material is compromised and whatever ring there is collapses enough to come right out. Then again I never cut normal (perpendicular) to the bearing axis, I usually make an angled cut. But it was IJ that made the...

Please God help...(Pilot Bearing Will NOT Come out)

EXCELLENT!!! Was I right about getting into position taking longer than the actual grinding? Glad you were successful without a torch or welding. I usually have no problems going the high risk route like that, but I have done it dozens of times and there are just too many things that can go...

Please God help...(Pilot Bearing Will NOT Come out)

Get some safety glasses and a fan and your Dremel and you will be done in less than 5 minutes. It will take you longer to get in position than it will to get the race out. Check out this link http://www.mytoolstore.com/dremel/mototols.html#100n10 Notice those 2 thin grinding wheels in the...

    New clutch time

+1 more, thats what I have in the Z along with an aluminum flywheel and I love it in the lighter car. I cant really say I would love the lighter flywheel in my MKIII for the street. Now on the track thats a different story, but there are a few more things I need on the MKIII before I consider...

Please God help...(Pilot Bearing Will NOT Come out)

I second the Dremel idea, they have little hard discs that are smaller in diameter than that outside race, just cut all the way thru (or 90% thru) one side and it will collapse, and come right out no problem.

Arizona, Firebird West in-car Track Video, 4 Videos, in total so far, more to come.

I would never consider running without it. Hell if you rode in my slower car you would have never taken your A/C out either. These are early morning events, so they cost a bit less than normal. The first event is more expensive because they pay to have an instructor in your car for the whole...

Thanks, I would assume sway bars and some struts and springs other than stock would make a big difference.

    1jz S13! WTF!?

No, I have been bitten by that before, but you can bet it will be better and cost way less than the competition. Those crazy expensive Australian ones are absurd. Also for the T56, I have some seriously cool ideas to handle crazy HP.

    1jz S13! WTF!?

I will be working on an adapter for a 1UZ to R154, and also T56 if your looking for a 6 speed. The first thru 3rd gear are very similar to R154, 4th and 5th are almost identical and 6th is like an extra bonus.

Thats what I thought, I would have guessed it would have pulled harder on me than it did. But it sure is painful knowing if I was in my other car I could trounce that ZO6 no problem.

THANKS!!! But that few seconds behind the ZO6 I let my adrenalin get the best of me, and was a little less than smooth with the wheel. But thanks for the compliment. Yea, completely stock suspension, just brakes, tires, wheels and a little more than stock boost. IT SURE WAS FUN!!!! The...

Yea its totally stock, except for a 3 inch exhaust, and a type R BOV, a shimmed wastegate and a few more PSI. Oh and my 6 piston 13's in front and the 12.9's in the rear. If you watch all the videos, you can see I dont have any problem hanging with anyone in the corners.

I did this all morning, only ran 3 out of 4 events. I over filled my oil and the BOV pumped it all over the engine compartment, so I sat the second session out. I didnt need to other than I made a mess of the engine compartment, but it was all good. I have plenty of in-car video, I get more...

    6 pot willwoods won't clear 19"s

Check out that wheeladapters site, that dude will probably make any thickness you want or need. I have had customers with less than 2mm, the parts would never expand that much, you are probably more intereseted in wheel flex, than anything else.

    6 pot willwoods won't clear 19"s

I sell a Line lock, this is only for temporary use, though. That kit has the worst caliper clearance, at about 32mm to 35mm. If you drive your car on the street and have to pass inspection then you wont be able to use the ones without a parking brake.

    6 pot willwoods won't clear 19"s

4 pots or 6 pots, the rear calipers are still HUGE, exact same body as the front 4 pots, just a different bore diameter. The rears do require less caliper clearance, about .5 inches less than my fronts. Hope to hear from you in the future. Why don't you remove the caliper and remove the...
